That delay though..... I'm so depressed over that I can barely eat my lunch. Time to give the Samaritans a call.

Official statement:
"Our development team has decided to take extra time to add some incredible new elements to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. As a result, the game will now launch in 2006 globally. We recognize there may be some disappointed fans, however we firmly believe this additional time will result in a much more enjoyable gaming experience."
Shame, but then again...if it ain't ready for 2005, it ain't ready. Hope +1 that they're going to make this the ultimate Zelda game.
Hopefully Battalion Wars ends up good so my Gamecube isn't going to be the only console that doesn't get a great game for Christmas.

Blarg. I hadn't heard that news. Damn. Oh well, it loosens up my busy November a bit, I suppose, and makes my spring (assuming that's when it'll show up) that much more exciting.

Look at those screens compared to the earlier ones. Not a huge difference, but there is a difference. I think we're looking at a Revolution launch title.

Actually, weren't the previews for Battalion Wars underwhelming? No flame or joke there, I believe that was the feeling from E3.

I doubt that it's being carried over to the revolution. The delay doesn't really bother me. It just means I'll have more time to mess around with the 360. Plus, given more development time, twilight should be a pretty amazing game.

I'm serious. This is going to get pushed back to release with the Revolution. It's not simply pushed back to 2006, it's to an unannounced point in the 2006 FISCAL year... meaning probably not at the beginning of the fiscal year which starts in April. I would guess june to july at the earliest, and where's the sense in releasing such a huge game on the Cube when the new system is likely to come out another 6 months or less after that? You're not going to spike sales of the old system much at that point; it'll hurt sales of Zelda more than it'll help the cube. But if you release it alongside a shiny new system, you'll get more attention and sales for both and you avoid the "Luigi's Mansion" situation.
