Nothing on the MSNBC website yet, they're covering it on the Tee-Vee right now.
NY Times has a story up on their webpage, but it's behind a registration link.

The guy previously had an affair and divorced his wife. If I found out that he had done so again, it wouldn't change my opinion of him that much. I'm not going to vote for the man, but this isn't the reason why.

Though I've pretty much made up my mind to vote against McCain already, I don't think this story is worth much attention. OMG HE STOOD NEXT TO THE SAME GIRL A FEW TIMES. Bleh. Big deal.

Ugh, long article. It doesn't sound like any uglies were bumped, though. I gave up reading it, though. It sounds like he was a little too close to her... and gave her a little too much help.

Didn't McCain also make a big deal over lobbyist reform?Obviously "reform" was a euphemism.
Seriously though, after saying he doesn't support his own immigration and campaign finance reform bills, the ones he wrote himself, and asking the President to veto the torture bill, I would just assume that the McCain of the past is dead, and has been replaced by Bush III.

Meh, the story is a non-starter, all allusion, no facts, on top of that Weaver, one of the peopel mentioned, states no such thing (http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=OTljYzAw NTRlNDdiY2YwMjk3MGQ2YTQ3YTA4ZGZmODc=) was going on.
I just got off the phone with John Weaver, the former top McCain campaign official who is now an informal adviser to the campaign. I asked him about his 1999 meeting on the campaign’s behalf with lobbyist Vicki Iseman. He said he “had no reason to think” that McCain might have been having an affair with Iseman, but he was concerned about word he had heard suggesting that Iseman was telling associates she had connections with McCain. “This was a woman who was saying that she had special influence with John’s committee staff and with him,” Weaver told me. “I didn’t believe that was the case.”
“When you hear back from several people that this person is saying they can get anything done, then that is alarming,” Weaver continued. So Weaver met with Iseman, at a Union Station restaurant, and told her to back off. He told me he didn’t exactly say, “Get lost,” but that that was the gist of it. “The discussion lasted all of five or six minutes in which I told her to cut that stuff out,” Weaver told me. “I said, ‘You need to stop this.’” Iseman’s response, according to Weaver: “She was not happy.”
As far as bombshells go, this story is definitely a dud.

McCain's the kind of president I want to watch on The West Wing...you've got a perfectly written episode right here. He just needs to revert to his good old days and start swearing at the press.

Heh, why does everyone think the repubs were mad at Clinton for being unfaithful? That shows a major character and ethical lapse, but that's it, it was his lying under oath that was the problem.

I think hearing Clinton and lesbian and affair in the same sentence would be some kind of demographic overload for them.

Sex isn't the issue in this scandal, not sure why people are talking about Bill Clinton.
The scandal is that McCain did some things that make it look like he was doing things for her clients that he should not have done.
The real kicker is that this was going on while he was campaigning against special interest groups and the lobbying game.

If that were the reason Republicans were "mad" he wouldn't of been put under oath to begin with; they hated Clinton and found some dirt on him. They were mad at Clinton because he kicked the shit out of the Republicans every chance he got.

were uglies bumped?Oh God. Horrible, horrible uglies would have been bumped. I wouldn't want to see the Starr report for this one even if it were true. It would read like Stephen King or Clive Barker.

Fucking hell guys, we live in age of fake news, be a bit more cynical. That's the thing, the New York Times story is 100% reliable.
Why? Because they aren't alleging anything in particular, just that his aides thought there was an improper relationship, and bringing up his role in the Keating S&L scandal.
The reason people are annoyed at the article isn't because its making stuff up, but rather because what it is reporting is nebulous and circumstantial. In other words its true, just not all that relevant or incriminating.
And if you believe to any extent an Elvis sighting, then either you take Bubba Ho-Tep too literally, or need to take your own advice regarding trust.
