Either way, we're not getting Jill Valentine in this one: two thumbs down.

I was trying to remember where I saw that tagline before. Then I did a Google search and found the answer: it was a goddamn Jim Morrison poster. That's about the last thing the marketing team should want to evoke. Way to go, guys.

Oh gawd.
They really throw that 1021 number in your face, don't they? I went to their lame web site for the movie and it was in every page transition.
Well, it worked. I'll remember 1021. October, 21: The day to avoid the movie theater.
'No One Gets Out Alive?'
Everyone in the theater dies?

I think this was already posted.
And I guess I'm still in the minority when I say that I think that the movie will be entertaining. It's strange too-- normally I can be a pretty harsh critic of movies.

I wish they stuck with Doom 3's storyline. I think it's a great story and wish they'd atleast publish a book that goes into more detail.

That'd be "Five to One" I presume, although the direct quote from that is "No one here gets out alive".
I know my Doors for some reason, can't imagine why.

Shoot...
I liked Elektra. It was very unconventional though so I can understand why people may not like it.
I know my Doors for some reason, can't imagine why.Maybe you listed to a lot of Doors in college like I did. ;-)

Is this different than the one that was on IGN a few weeks ago?

Looks like the same one that was posted a few weeks ago. I just hope that The Rock doesn't throw down with the final baddie in hand to hand combat (everyone else will have to die of course). But doing that in the end would put it up there with an Uwe Bol movie. It looks entertaining but extremely cheesy though.

There's probably going to be a licensed game based on the motion picture inspired by a game.

Wait wait wait... Rated R? Hmm... that has potential to prevent utter assitude! I hate PG-13 crap. Wouldn't be so bad if the film was just PG-13, because the movie they made was worthy of the rating. No, studios and publishers butcher and handcuff films to get the more marketable version.

No, I don't think this is the same trailer that was posted a few weeks ago.
I didn't notice the first person sequence everyone was hyped about.
Also, my guess is that the rock will become one of the monsters. It's the main character (Eomer from LoTR) who won't die.

I think it will be pretty good, but not judging from the trailer. The FPS sequence they showed at SDCC was mind-blowing apparently, and id's CEO Todd, something or rather, was on hand, talking about how exact they're staying to Doom 3. Where the computer screens and displays, not to mention the overall design of the complex in the movie is pretty much lifted straight from id's concept art.
Plus Stan Winston working on the monsters. Oh, and btw, it was I who posted this article a good 2 weeks ago.

It is doom3, he better be using the bfg or the soul cube in the last fight.

51|RandoM: you forget that in the game's story the Soul Cube was created by an ancient civilization. In this movie the baddies are just human mutants (*BARF*), so they'd only have modern-day technology.
Man, even a straight port of the DOOM 3 storyline would have been better than this formulaic, Hollywood tripe. I never thought I'd be saying that... that DOOM's storyline is better than something else's.

The Rock dies(I've heard Karl is the main dude), and the BFG is in the movie.

One thing I did notice that was an upgrade from doom3: They have flashlights on their guns in the trailer lol.

They are playing on "Don't hurt me", hence the added flashlights :).

Kind of like that Street Fighter: The Movie game. That was quite possibly the lamest thing ever.
Still, I'd actually like to see this.
This is not Doom, its Resident Evil 3 ... .... that means a big shit.

Oops, my bad. I guess somehow I meshed the trailer and everything I read about what they saw at SDCC in my mind.
