Lo All,

I tend to write these simply because i'm at work and I need something to read and usually I pick topics that relate to what i'm playing at the time.

At anyrate, Fury Warriors, anyone play one? Mine's just recently hit 59 and I plan to stay fury throughout, sadly if I wanted to tank, I probably would have rolled a paladin. I'm DW Fury currently (Thalidyrr on Dragonblight) 41 in fury, rest im dumping in prot for armor buffs, and a few other little things. I guess the question is, to those of you who might have one, what spec are you, and what tips if any do you have? Have any issues with rage generation? Fury seems to start off so slow, but once you have a decent rage bar going you can pretty much rip into anything.

dumping your remaining points into protection is only gimping yourself, there is absolutely no reason to do that as fury.. You need to go into arms and get deep wounds/impale, these are very important for a fury warrior. something like this: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=LA0czhbZVV0VxxRVuqo

If you are having rage generation issues, its probably because you are missing too much. For a dual wielder you need a little more +hit, since you have a 28% chance to miss. You need to grab the precision talent and you need about 95 hit rating to never miss. You might even want to switch to 2hander until you get a little more hit rating gear.

read this guide: http://www.theoryspot.com/forums/damage-per-second-discussion/32361-dw-fury-guide-4th-edition.html

and if you have a lot of time on your hands read these threads:

but those can be a little dense at times.

yeah thanks for the tidbits, after I posted I played around with it and decided to go with the typical 17/44/0 build, so I'm level 60 now and dumping all my points into arms. Fury is quite the beast it seems, at 59 I was able to obliterate 4 level 61's on me at the same time. They almost got me, but not quite. I'll have to check the links out. god knows I have time up here.

I play one. Level 49, as of writing.

I'm leveling one currently and am half-way through 43 (two mains being Hunter/Warlock) and am really enjoying it thus far. I find that I have trouble generating decent rage when fighting mobs either even to or a level/two above me (though this could be due to the fact that I primarily dual wield and have a large miss ratio).

The few times I've tanked have been taxing as people tend to simply not listen and I've had DPS higher than me on a threat meter far more often than I'd like to admit. So, with fury, I have the feeling that I can and would make a good off-tank for larger raids but my primary tanking skills are "meh" fury.

We'll see as I get higher.

I stopped playing my warrior when he hit level 40 originally (he was the first char I made when the game was released) got to 40 very quickly with in a few months (quickly for me) and got bored, and stopped playing to be honest.

I played off and on for a few months, and stopped and started back up as a hunter, got him to 70 and doing kara/arena/bg to gear up and get cash. Offtimes, I started playing the warrior again and respec'd from arms to fury and haven't gone back. And as the quests start to give some really decent gear and I am able to gear up (aside from the crapton of paladin and shaman gear from quests, mutter) i'm able to just destroy things, it's so much fun.

Though, the annoyance factor comes in when people ask me to do a 5man, or I ask to join a group and specifically state i'm a DW Fury warrior, and then come back and ask "mind tanking?" I'm not spec'd for it at all, really. If I wanted to tank, i'd make a paladin these days.

ATM I play an ARMS spec'ed warrior. I'm level 47, almost 48, and all my points have been put into arms. Some say I should put some in Fury but I just don't have the heart to do it. I did enjoy duel wielding, but for some odd reason I can't pass up Mortal Strike and Second Wind. Both of those talents have done wonders for me in PvP.

Last night I ran into an alliance Fury spec warrior that was 49 and I crushed her three times. Fourth time she ran past me when she saw she was not going to get the jump on me so I knew that I had her beat. As much as i'm tempted to give a Fury warrior a shot, I just enjoy Arms too much. And in the endgame I no doubt will go prot. because I enjoy tanking without having to worry about healing other folks.

As soon as AV weekend is over and i've ground out another 15k honor or so, I'll be back to leveling the poor lonely fury warrior and trying to get some instance groups.

PvE at level 70, a well-geared Fury warrior is amazing. They can pump out some crazy DPS I tell you.

Fury warriors do fairly well in end game PvE, but I believe it is harder to level fury as opposed to arms. Arms is a bit more forgiving when it comes to gear. That said, you have already done all the hard parts of leveling so enjoy the rest. Oh, and be prepared for lots of "can you tank this" whispers.

The general rule of thumb is:
Arms - Best PvP build, due to highest burst damage and healing debuff. Can PvE as well but slightly subpar.
Fury -- Best PvE build, most consistent steady high dps. Can PvP too but slighty subpar.
Prot -- PvE tanking, awful at PvP.

Generally I find the best thing to level as is fury with a 2hander. Improved slam is great with 2h for leveling.
