Release dates, price, etc. Everything that's been speculated upon since even before the official unveiling on MTV back in May.
Start taking bets!
I’m going for the following:
US Release Date: November 10, 2005
Console Price: $299.99
Game Price: $39.99 (smaller titles) - $59.99 (AAA titles like Gears of War, etc.)

Strangely enough, I got an e-mail from an anonymous user last week telling me that it was being held in Amsterdam. I didn't think much of it and deleted the message.
Oh well. :)

You, sir, are a GIVER! You just give and give! When Microsoft sends me my invite, I'll definitely forward it on to you! :D

hehe ... all the nerds from MS will be able to get laid and they can write it off as a business expense. So the Asian launch will be in Bangcock, Thailand?

I would think that the US Release Date would be right after Thanksgiving, because that's the busiest shopping day of the year.

You're right in saying that the Friday after Thanksgiving is the busiest shopping day, but releasing it before then and building up the hype is, I think, a more sound strategy. Then, when that Friday comes round, the name Xbox 360 will already be implanted in the subconscious mind of the millions of shoppers that will flood EB Games, Game Stop, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc.
Little Johnny's friends to Little Johnny on November 10th: "Dude, I just got my smoking Xbox 360 and it ROCKS. You should TOTALLY get one."
Time passes while Little Johnny works on his parents/guardians...
Friday after Thanksgiving. Little Johnny's parents are out shopping for Christmas presents for Little Johnny... "Oh, Little Johnny's friends all have one of these Xbox 360 things and he's been round their house playing it all the time, let's get him one of those for Christmas!" Boom - sale for Microsoft.

"To tell you our rational for choosing Amsterdam would reveal some of our plans and we want to keep those as secret as possible!"
Well, the only developer in Amsterdam is Guerilla games, makers of Killzone. Other than that, I can't think of any other gaming significance of Amsterdam. However, I do believe that choosing a venue that gaming journalists look forward to visiting and inherently being in a "good mood" *wink wink* has at least something to do with it. Anyone know of what's up in Amsterdam?

Well, legalized prostitution would allow MS to justifying buying junketing journalists hookers as part of the room service expenses.

obviously microsoft would be giving out xbox360 condoms. Just think of the marketing blurbs they could come up with matching 360 with condoms.
