IGN has a preview (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/850/850587p1.html) of RSV2 multiplayer hands-on along with a batch of new screenshots.
Here's a blurb from the article:
New modes? Check. New maps? Check. New leveling system? Check. But what about any real changes to gameplay? Fear not, you'll have a few new abilities to utilize online (or off). First and foremost, you can now sprint. The duration isn't as long as it is in COD4, but it's enough to quickly escape a grenade blast and move from one piece of cover to another without fear of getting easily gunned down. It's clear that Ubisoft Montreal didn't want to turn Vegas 2 into a run and gun type of game and while hearing that there's a new sprint feature might make some fans shutter in fear, we can say with certainty that isn't the case.
A must buy? For me yes. What do you think?

Must buy for me on PC as long as it's not a shoddy port.

Always a must buy. Never had a doubt. Rainbow and Ghost series are always a first day purchase for me until they make me lose my trust in them, which they haven't.

I'm going to buy it but am a little bummed because I have family coming to visit me the day it comes out and they are staying a week so I won't be able to pick it up and play it for almost a week after release.

Absolutely a must buy for the co-op alone. Improved MP will be a nice bonus.

R6:Vegas was decent fun for co-op on PC but it looked and handled like crap.

Day 1. Like COD4, I'm not sure when I'll have enough time to play single player, because of the multiplayer invites I'll be getting.

I still fire this game up coop with a buddy on live or team survival. I'm really looking forward to it.

The last ubisoft clancy game that was a real pc game was the pc version of GRAW. This is the port generation, get used to it, at least from the major publishers.

I'll buy it only if there's alot of improvements from the first one. Hated how multi ended up being a campfest, or the fact that everyone would just grab the case and spend five minutes waiting for the timer to run down near the helicopter. Co-op was really great though, I'm hoping they have more stages than the first one.

You actually played attack and defend? I applaud you sir. Just play deathmatch, it is much better.

Well in fairness neither GRAW or GRAW2 for PC were ports.

must buy here, the first one was the most fun I had on mp with the 360 thus far!

More than likely a day one purchase here.
If I have read correctly in OXM and Game Informer, the entire campaign is co-op playable over live? I hated that it was not in the first, but can not deny the game was great even if I did not get into the multi-player much.
The Clancy games are always a purchase for me. I do not think I have hated any of them so far, and I own them all. Ninety percent of the games are great, ten percent are good.

I will wait for the demo. I loved the first game a lot. I don't want to just play an expansion of the first game.
*EDIT*
I've just looked at some videos and it doesn't look that impressive :(

They ruined the Ghost Recon series with the GRAW 1/2. should have kept it realistic. like old ghost, and non of this third person bs or crosscom, wierd weapon/camera controls.

I know it's Gameplay over Graphics but those graphics don't look much better than the last game's.

I skipped Vegas entirely (namely to spite Expugnare and his 700 invites despite knowing I didn't own the game) but if this one delivers on the entire campaign being co-op'able over Live, I'll be there like the Jackson 5.

Huh? I thought the campaign was (more or less) playable over Live! The main difference was you didn't have any of the cutscenes or voice-over stuff going on - it was more like just a series of missions - just with four people.
That said, MOAR CO-OP FTW. :D

I'm excited for it...so long as the MP game mode (can't remember what they're called but the one where you recover intel and have to escape with it) is changed to encourage the team trying to capture the intel to cap it quickly rather than escorting it out and having one guy sit at the escape point while his teammates dick around killing the defenders for the remaining game time.

Right after I teabag theirs.

It looks like fun, especially the co-op, but I really don't like the implementation of a cover system in a multiplayer game where kills can happen with one bullet. A lot of game modes can turn really campy when a player can look down and cover a hallway without being seen. That's why I prefer games like Call of Duty and Counterstrike. If you're looking down a hall to cover it, you have to expose a little bit of your profile and so there's a risk involved in your position. You may have have the advantage, but at least there's a possibility that you can catch a bullet in the face. With Vegas's cover system, a player covering an area essentially has no risk from bullets and no risk of revealing his position. In a game like Gears of War, such an ability is balanced by the fact that most weapons will not kill you in one hit. It just seems like a mechanic which doesn't fit in the tactical shooter realm.

The shear amount of grenades you can have offsets the campy-ness. You shouldn't die more than once from any given corner-camper.

Maybe, but most leagues use modes without respawns. With that in mind, a defending player usually has a few different spots from which he can defend an area. Add the fact that there are multiple points of entry and multiple spots for this technique, and you'll find that the assaulting team can exhaust their grenade supply before they hit a single defender. I'm not arguing that there aren't methods to deal with it, but I'm annoyed with the fact that you HAVE to deal with it and there are even more creative ways to take advantage of the system. For example, if you have two guys covering an area behind cover, only one has to pop up to shoot. The next round when the attacking team frags the first spot, the second guy is in no danger. Also, flash bangs don't work with a cover system like that because all a defender has to do is tilt his screen so the flash is no longer in line of sight. Even if you've carefully checked the next room for contacts and flashed in just in case, that's typically not enough. It's just a mechanic that I feel breaks the flow of a tactical shooter. If I'm covering an area, there should be a risk involved in even taking a look... just like in real life. The game is supposed to tout realism, but I highly doubt that special operations have somehow trained and learned the ability of astral projection.
