From GamingShogun (http://www.gamingshogun.com/Article/812.aspx)
Saitek's Cyborg gaming mouse has been totally redesigned. Features include a motorized shell that expands and contracts to fit the user's hand. Even the length of the mouse can be adjusted. It truly is as if the mouse has traveled back in time to change the future for some lucky gamer. But if it is using Terminator rules that doesn't make sense as nothing artificial can come back through. Unless it really is a cyborg and has some sort of organic outer coating, but we make no promises on that point.

Motorized mice? Has the world gone mad? Nah, who am I kidding, I want one. It looks like something the predator would carry around with him

I fear the day that the computer mouse becomes smarter than man. This abomination must be destroyed before this technology developes further.

Absolutely, nuke it from a far and return to using ball-driven mice. Its the only way to be sure.

I wonder if MadCatz had a hand in the redesign or not now that they own Saitek.

On a slightly off topic note... why don't they make premium controllers for consoles?

We always get shitty $10 cheaper but never worth it knock offs, why not an $80 hardwood and metal controller?

I guess I could see that. Some really nice, shiny hardwood, heavy steal components...Thats the stuff of geek fantasy right there. Instead, we always seem to have to use...plastic.

Plastic is all normal people are willing to pay for.

Every time I try one of these uber-mice, I end up back with my Logitech.

That thing looks uncomfortable. Just because its a cyborg doesn't mean it can't have smooth lines... I mean doesn't that sarah connor chronicles show have female terminators now?

A motorized mouse?

Yikes, if that's the case, I will stay far away from Saitek products. Out of all the controllers, memory cards and other peripherals I have bought for my systems over the years and have seen friends buy, Mad Catz is always the stuff that breaks or screws up first.

Adjustable is fine, but that looks really uncomfortable to use, once its fully extended there will be weird ridge lines all along the mouse. I would have to try it before I buy it for sure.

it looks just as goofy as their cyborg joystick does.

It remains to be seen if they bought manufacturing, or just a name. Hold your horses until we see what the outcome is.

the saitek cyborg controller (allowing play as ps or 360) is a solid, wellmade controller. And saitek has made some great mice, on the lower end of the price spectrum.
Not in the market for a mouse, but I hope this works well.

I love my Razer, but my Eclipse and P880 have served me well.
