I kid you not..... (http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/politics/orl-bk-vote020508,0,2829516.story)

Millions of Americans in 24 states are turning out vote to in Super Tuesday presidential primaries from Georgia to Alaska today. Meanwhile, some dedicated if confused Florida voters are trying to, as well.

Elections offices across the state are reporting hundreds of calls from voters wanting to know where they can vote today. The answer is that Florida already had its presidential primary -- last week.

"We've had over 100 calls at least over the last two days," said Kathy Adams, a spokesperson for the Palm Beach County Election Supervisor.

Closer to home, Orange County elections officials say they are dealing with a combination of confused voters from Florida and California.

"One of my staffers has figured it out," said Orange County Election Supervisor Bill Cowles. "They are California voters going online and looking for the Orange County [California] election office and calling us instead."

Of course that doesn't explain the man who showed up at a polling site this morning in Orlando wanting to vote, Cowles conceded.

Money quote? Sure, here it is below:

"It's funny that they want to argue with us about it," said Janet Olin, assistant elections supervisor. "We absolutely have had more than a handful, and they are a handful."

So sad....

Same thing is happening in Texas, (http://www.ksat.com/politics/15220830/detail.html) Washington, (http://www.union-bulletin.com/articles/2008/02/03/local_news/local04.txt) and really all across the country.

Having registered people before, its amazing how about 80% of people seem to have no idea they need to preregister. Many used to accuse me of trying to scam them.

Maybe we should just not let stupid people vote anymore. Then again a Republican would never win another election. Hmm, that's not such a bad idea! I'm totally kidding!!! Not all Republicans are stupid....

Sounds like good news to me. People who can't figure out what day to show up don't get to vote.

I mean, seriously, I live in another country and I knew what day Florida voted in it's primary.

Do they have an editorial segment? I think BN9 would benefit greatly with a Lewis Black-styled commentator on the news.

It's not fair. They send us all their old people, and then laugh at us for people not knowing what's going on in this state.

Cause....Meet Effect.

I think we're pretty fucking far past "blaming the system" when it comes to Florida. Everyone else seems to do just fine, for the most part, but everytime there is a vote down there they find a way to fuck shit up.

I've never visited Florida, but I really want to. All of the craziness constantly coming out of the state makes me want to visit more and more. I have to see with my own two eyes just how whacky you Floridians really are.

Astronautalis is from Florida. I'll be he voted last week.

He's so awesome that he makes up for one or two metric fucktons of Old People. Too bad Florida has, like, a giga-fuckton of Old People.

No one told you you had to accept them... I'm just saying, they're old. What are they gonna do about it if you wheel them into the ocean and collect their life insurance?

There's a secret bounty on Senior citizens. Government subsidizes their deaths, see, to avoid the Social security crisis. For every FOP you kill, you get, like, a third of their SS.

Honestly, I wouldnt blame the voters. The system here can be extremely confusing and it is often very very hard to find the information you need for your are.

Sorry, Nation. We tend to get confused with all the half-naked women walking around in the sunshine. Did we mention it's currently in the 70-80 degree range? Have a nice day.

No. That's not true. It's very easy to vote down here. The dates are easily found, as in general, the websites for Florida related services are pretty good all around.

No...the reason for this is 1/2 of our voters have Alzheimer's.

I think the simple solution is to not allow Florida to take part in elections.
They proved in 2000 that they can't be trusted. ;)

Most states have traffic lights on a 60 second cycle, which keeps traffic flowing smoothly. Florida uses a 2-3 minute cycle so that motorists don't get confused from all the commotion, they can't handle our new-fangled traffic patterns.

Got to love exageration for the win.

Two people called in?

There's probably people in every state that don't even know who's President right now.
