GamingNexus has posted an interview (http://www.gamingnexus.com/Default.aspx?Section=Article&I=1744)with Turok Associate Director Tim Lewison. They cover the ins and outs of the single and multiplayer portions of the game as well as this question about the PS3 version of the game
You're using the Unreal Engine 3 for the game, did you have any problems with the PS3 version of the game or is all Internet hearsay? Why did you pick this engine over others on the market? What modifications did you have to make to the engine to support the game?
All new platforms have their challenges. I’ve been doing this for 13 years and remember fondly the fanboy wars between Saturn, N64 and the PS One. At the end of the day, developers will get more familiar with the systems and make them work to their needs. The PS3 is no different.
Has anyone picked the game up? Is this title worth picking up?

I enjoyed the demo. Especially near the end when you sneak around the rocks and assasinate the enemy, then the carrier drops off some more for a fire fight. The dodge move works great, especially since people are used to the cover system, this is a good balance to that. When an enemy shoots, just dodge behind cover and jump out to shoot back.
I'm picking this one up.

one of the worst demos ever. What a great decision to start people off in a dark cave.

I can't say I was impressed by the Turok demo (although it did look pretty good on the PS3). I may rent it if it gets really good feedback from friends though.
I thought the demo was not to bad. I'll wait until it's cheap to pick it up though.

Rented it before the so called street date (last friday).
Sadly, its really not that impressive. The knife is fun in mutliplayer, but most of the weapons are just "blah" at best. Example: The pulse rifle shoots maybe 20 rounds before it overheats, but short controlled bursts against dinosaurs=You knocked on your ass and hit again. No cerebral bore either, at least not in the multiplayer maps I tried, or as far as I got in the single player.
That's the other main problem I have with the full game. You spend a lot of your time getting knocked on your back, no matter how well you actually dodge. The checkpoints are strangely spaced out (The Spider is a good example, where you have to sit through a non skippable cut scene and fight through two seperate big battles with two hit kill explosives all around you.)
Give it a rental, but certainly not a 60$ buy. Go buy Culdcept instead!

The demo does not do the full game justice. I know some people disagree, but even though I loved the demo it probably didn't sell the game for a lot of people. The cave is a very brief, short section of the full campaign.
The multiplayer is a blast, especially on the smaller 4-on-4 maps. The AI dinosaurs can make things very fun. No, the game isn't perfect, but it's a great title. Especially for old Turok fans and shooter nuts.

Worth a rent, if your in need of a shooter to hold you over for whatever. Really if your going to play MP your better off just draggin yourself through prestige in COD 4. Too many shooters have set a high bar for others and though Turok doesn't fall under that bar it constantly runs into it. My friend has a HDTV and while we were playing it he turns to me and says "Why the fuck did I rent this? When I play a god damned game in HD I want some impressive graphics!" Some say they aren't bad but I have a nagging voice in my head that says the edges and textures in this game are archaic and borrowed from other games. I wish the battles with dino's and enemies alike was challenging in any sort of way. We both soared through the game no problem and could go through most of it using a knife. So like the demo, I could use this game to wipe my ass and ship it back to GameFly.

It's ok so far. Nothing great, nothing bad. It's a nice distraction.
