Tecmo seemed to manage to squeeze more out of the Xbox than any other developer, based on these screens (http://xbox.boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art.view.php?id=8942) that looks set to continue into the next generation:

Are you sure these are 360 shots? Looks like something the Xbox can pull off and not break a sweat.

But..but...she's a girl! And Asian...maybe...maybe Mediterranean...

AND she's wearing a uniform!

C'mon Justin, you gotta like the uniform. :D

That's because they're low-rez shots. Try downloading the official E3 trailer from Gamespot. It's stunning, you can tell it's on next-gen hardware.

It's high res DOA3. Gears of War is much more visually impressive than this.
And kudos for lifting the article text directly from Boomtown.

I have always been underwhelmed by the character designs of this series, and apparently the fighters will continue to be extremely generic and sparsely-textured in high definition now. Whee.

DoA is a great fighting series, this does seemed to be improved a bit. We'll definetley tell once we have it in our hands. Looks like they're adding a bunch of effects.

I will admit Gears of War looks amazing... Looks like something to knock Ninja Gaiden and DOA U off the best graphics block... BUT this game does look better than it's predocessors... I think the xbox could only could show that as prendered in game movies... I don't know what else you could be expecting of team ninja... He isn't going for a photorealistic style... I think this is the topping off of the style of DOA....

These are from the trailer that was released at E3 with the possible exception of first one of the old man’s daughter, but I think even that one was from the E3 trailer. I hate to be ‘that guy’, but these are old shots.

Well, I am the editor of Boomtown and was in a hurry. I apologize for lack of creativity while my girlfriend was yelling something about going shopping NOW!! :p

I think these shots were released a few weeks ago. Aside from that, what's up with the new girl and her giant head?! Are they just scaling the head with respect to the size of her chest?

Not impressed. More natural movements, please, and better physics. Screw the dangling earrings and wobbling breasts.

Last I remembered Itagaki said some stuff about clothes play.... Stuff like pulling shirts over peoples head came to mind followed by a kick the head or something... O_o

Not really a lightyear advancement...
