One of the reasons I don't play WoW any more. 40 levels and all you get is to kill the same bears as before, except now they have a different colour and name.

I wonder why developers thinks random patrolling animals is a fun foe to do battle on. That it seem the whole animal kingdom is out to get you too. Bears, giant spiders and wolves all work together in harmony just to spice up your travelling with an additional corpse run.

I heard that Warhammer online were going against this trend but I still saw a damn giant scorpion in a screenshot.

I concur with this mans assessment. That and it's the Warhammer universe. Everything is, in fact(asy?), trying to kill you.

I'm actually rather tired of it as well. I've never understood why those animals need to be there. Lotro had Boars as major quest animals in every zone... including Angmar. Mother fucking boars?

Eh, plenty of people have heard of it, but it's directed more towards artists and not necessarily gamers.
