A Heroes of Might and Magic (HOMM) 5 development diary Q&A has been posted (http://www.mightandmagicgame.com/teaser/us/archives.php?mois=8&annee=2005#11832) regarding the revamping of the Might and Magic Universe on the official HOMM website. (http://www.mightandmagicgame.com/teaser/us/index.php)
Thanks to Gamecloud (http://www.gamecloud.com/) for the tip.
Nice, a tad darker with more fantasy and less sci-fi.
Release Date: TBA (PC (http://www.gametab.com/pc/heroes.of.might.and.magic.v/3911/))

If there's as many Monty Python references in the game as there are the interview, I'll be getting it no questions asked.
They've done a good job with the art: you can still see that the other Source games are made with the engine, but this looks totally unique.
Edit: oh, that's why. Dark Messiah and Heroes V are different games.

No more blasters, cyborgs and terminators found in M&M1-5 games ?
:(
So we can be clear, when was there ever any sci-fi aspects from HoMM 1-4, I have them all on my comp, and I can't remember any sci-fi?

Nope. HoM&M titles are clear from any sci-fi stuff.
The sci-fi part comes from Might and Magic RPG games - 1 through 7 (blasters, space ships etc.).
I would love a new decent M&M game. I loved 7 and 8, but tried 9 and hated it.

As long as we're retooling the M&M universe, could we make Yellow less of a dullard? Red is always picking on him. And I want to see more of Crispy, I think he's funny.

Golems have nothing of sci-fi in them. They are part of the fantasy universe just as pointy hats and barbarians.

I can't wait for HoMM5. I really hope they don't mess it up!

You have never played HoMM IV then, if you think Dragon Golems are anything from Fantasy. ;)
