I just read this story and was pretty moved.
Then I though about everyone I game with and how if any of them seemed depressed or suicidal, I know I would extend a helping hand in any way possible and would hope they would do the same. It's very true though, I've talked to guys just to talk about girl friend issues, financial issues, and even a guy who's father had died a week earlier in an accident. The internet and anonymity makes confessing and helping just by talking all the easier. A damn shame that this suicide could have been prevented.
Didn't mean to sound so sappy, but I'd be here for you guys.
EDIT: Friggin aye I typoed the title, someone fix plz!

I would rather be dead and got laid than be alive and still alone.

Then we have different priorities. If the only thing that saved my life was a cloistered life of MMOs, I would rather be dead. Ever read World War Z? There is a chapter on that, and I did not think "what a lucky guy" I thought, "what a loser."

That's sad, Gorilla. Seriously. Like sad enough that you should get professional help. Not kidding, either. Wanting to die is the most serious thing of all.

If wallowing your life away on videogames is what saves my life, in lieu of going to parties and having that kind of life, you get into issues of was it a life worth living. And I do my fair share of wallowing.

I guess I see your point. Angst is one thing, but wanting to die is another. All I'm saying.

It is totally a matter of opinion and differs from person to person.

Life is only worth living if you go to parties? Now THAT is a sad life, when being stoned is the highlight of your existence.

Parties are not exactly life, either.

Yeah was going to say that as well. I fucking hate going to parties. It's just something I don't see the need to do.

Dude, he helped save Japan. :)
