View Full Version : Zack & Wiki reviews - IGN vs Eurogamer.

I was thinking about picking up Zack & Wiki yesterday (which I did today), since it came out last friday over here. Before buying, I decided to read Eurogamer's review, written by a certain Kezza MacDonald. The game gets an 8/10 (http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=88551).
Another review then: IGN UK. They give the game a slightly higher score, as it gets a 9.1/10 (http://wii.ign.com/articles/845/845282p1.html). The person reviewing the game for IGN: Kezza MacDonald.

I'm wondering why there's a difference there, as both reviews are written by the exact, same person.

Probably played more of the game before writing the second.

The futhamucka went stupid at some point between review one and two? Z&W clearly deserves the 9.1..annoyances aside.

The review could be outsourced while the editor chooses the score.

This will be game 4 of 4 for the Wii for me, after I get Zelda and Metroid (in that order). It looks like a lot of fun.

Simple - Eurogamer has the 4-10 scale, while IGN uses a 6-10 scale.

This reminds me that I got Zack & Wiki reserved, I just need to go and pick it up, and time to actually play it.

I think this is a very interesting story, at the very least. Radically different score for the same reviewer shows how different websites are crazy different.

Hope you enjoy Zack & Wiki as much as I do, and I hope you don't get frustrated as easily as I do. :eek:
