My Broken Wii

I guess I was only lucky with my Xbox 360 not failing. And it is an original launch baby too :). However, it seems my Wii might of been faulty from day one. It had trouble recognizing game discs ala the old PS2s, which I went through two of them. I really should of brought it back at the launch for the Wii. Being so scarce though...I didn't want to return it. I was also to lazy to call Nintendo to get it repaired. Mostly I was lazy cause the discs would be recognized after a try or two. So if it worked...why not just keep it for a bit longer. But within the last month and foolish me, after the warranty expired, now I was getting a black screen with "error message please turn off the machine etc etc". Except I couldn't turn it off, I had to pull the plug on the Wii and then get the disc to eject. I was just getting ready to play some Mario Galaxy too...oh well. Nintendo promises to have it back within 11-16 days. Anyone else have a Wii fail on them and sent it back for repairs?

I thought mine was malfunctioning a couple times, but it turned out they ship a manual inside every box that I needed to acquaint myself with.

LOL...i've done that in the past with stuff. I really wish this was the case :(. Actually the rep. from Nintendo wanted to make sure I didn't have the system upside down. I realize they go through a set of questions to avoid having someone to send back there machine but...sheesh...I think I know when I have it upside down! To be fair...I can't imagine the calls they get stating about a broken Wii that really isn't.
