Just saw the latest trailer for this game on GameTrailers (http://www.gametrailers.com/game/2726.html) and I've gotto say its looking pretty fun, the fact that its pretty much made with coop in mind just may force me to buy it.

Anyone got any thoughts on the game?

(btw it's possible to embedd movies here somehow isnt it?)

I want this because it looks like an awesome co op game, and you can never have enough of that.

On the other hand, it is EA.

It looks better than last time I saw it but it's EA Montreal's first game so I'm expecting a bit of a turd. Hopefully I'm wrong.

The story was they sent out review builds and basically all the reviewers said "if you release this now it is a 5, but if you fix X,Y and Z, it will be a good game" and the new President of EA agreed to push it back so they could tweak the SP game (apparently it sucked SP and was actually decent Co-Op) and tweak some AI.

Yeah I thought it was out in the states already and got it's metaphorical head kicked in.

Yup, it was a last moment decision to postpone the release, which I can only applaud. Although the new videos lack a certain something. It doesn't look particularly challenging, for one thing.

From what I've read, it was pretty much universally panned by early reviewers. EA made the decision to hold off on it and add some polish to the game, but I don't have much faith in that helping.

I can't think of one single situation when a game was held back at the last minute that resulted in a good game. I consider it the sure sign of a shitty development process. Either it's a bad game and a couple of months won't help, or it's a good game that gets caught in a "too many chefs" situation and gets ruined.

Movies that have this happen are the same way.

Besides its EA we are talking about. They arent known for quality of playability.

My friend and I were looking forward to the Co-Op in Kane and Lynch and Army of Two, specifically the main story lines.

He now owns a Wii.
