PSone parasite Eve Love

I made this thread so we can share our common lo0ve for Parasite Eve for PSone. I just started playing it again, brought back many memories. I'm still trying to acquire Parasite Eve 2 but for the most part I really wish they would have made a sequel for PS2/PS3. This is one game that needs Next Gen treatment. I like how they used the battle system in this game and modified to use in games in Kingdom Hearts/Crisis Core. Anybody else loved this game?

I only played the first one, it was pretty cool, but I was ill-prepared for the last boss and had to cheat my way through it. Maybe they'll get thrown up on PSN one day(do it before i get a PS3).

Oh, and that Opera scene in the beginning of the game, I thought it was pretty crazy.

IIRC that was part of the demo, thats how it got me interested in it :)

I really liked the first one, but don't think I ever made it to the top of... Was it the World Trade Center? Creepy. Anyhow, never touched the second one. But it was nice to see Square branch out from Final Fantasy... Remote play on the PSP could make for some fun.

Now I'm gonna have to find the second game, and just youtube the real ending of the first one.

yeah its the Chrysler building, that was one of the best parts of the whole game.

I kept deleting the junk. Then found out you could use it to make like a kickass gun you needed for later bosses. I felt so full of lose that day.

I never played any of the Parasite Eve games, but my best buddy enjoyed them, especially the first. What makes the first title so good? Should I try to add it to my psone library, or have the dumbass sqeenix dorks inflated the price of the game due to ridiculous demand, like they do with every rpg game.

The price is decent, I would pick it up if I didn't already own it. The story was good and the battle system is good, the way you upgrade weapons. It's hard to explain lol

Indeed, this is a badass game. However, I was somewhat disappointed with the translations this time through. I forgot that whenever someone yells something, it's always typed with the last word in CAPS!

Parasite Eve, ah man that game ruled. I remember buying and playing it right before my family went on a trip for a week... PE was all I thought about. When I got back, I played non-stop, it was one of the best experiences I've ever had. If the PS3 had a Parasite Eve game, I'd buy a PS3. YA HEAR THAT SONY!

Parasite Eve was the second game I bought for PS1 and I really couldn't get into it. The first was MGS, and to be honest, at the time I didn't really know what a turn based RPG was about. I'm thinking that maybe I should give it another chance one of these days now that I understand the brilliance of turn based RPG.

Parasite Eve was and still is one of my favorite jRPGs. I loved every bit of it, and yeah, the Chrysler Building was a hell of a lot of fun. PE2 was also really good, but I never finished the final boss because I allocated my mitochondria points poorly. I really need to go back and do that again one of these days.

Yes. It's up in the top five RPGs for the PS1. Great, great game, with an awesome original story.

You'll be fine. The game better describes how well someone (Square in particular) can generate FMV on hardware such as the PSOne. Phenomenal. Very harsh imagery but not really frightening. If it really scared you, I would envy what an experience Silent Hill could be.

Never touched Silent Hill, never will. Resident Evil scared the shit out of me as a kid, can't handle that shit.

Well, Parasite Eve has a Zombie T-Rex if I remember correctly.

I really tried to play it again about a year ago. I just can't stand all the jaggies anymore.

The last boss (sequence) on PE was really hard. But great game overall. Didn't like the repetative nature of the Chrysler building btw.

The second PE...bleh. Thought it was very short, had few locations, annoying combat..
