Like the title says, how heavy is the Rock Band box? I've seen the box in stores, but I obviously haven't had a reason to pick one up. I ask this 'cause I'm thinking about picking it up tomorrow, but I'm at college and the GameStop is about 6 blocks from here. Can I carry it back by myself or not? Thanks guys.

Are you a wimp? It's a videogame, come on! 6 blocks is nothing!

It's large but not too heavy, really. Man up, bitch. ;)

The size would be your biggest problem.

Depending on where you live, I don't know that I'd fancy carrying something like that while walking home. Take a cab or a bus.

It is a mighty size and as such no bag can hold it's girth

While I'm sure you'd be physically able to do so, it would be quite dangerous with all the rabble in the street and such.

It's more of the awkward size of it. I live in Evanston, which is a suburb north of Chicago. I really don't have any reason to worry about getting mugged in broad daylight. I guess I'll probably take a cab back at least.

For the awesomeness that is Rock Band, just fucking carry it, even if you're a complete wimp.

Stop being a cheap skate and just call a cab. You obviously have the $$ chah ching to put down over 200 bucks of cheddeh for it so invest in a cab ride or the bus. Hell hitch hike if you have too.

Bring a bit of rope to make a handle, unless you've got monkey arms.

I got my RB bundle shipped to me, and checking the tracking it was listed as being 23 lb, but yeah it's a little awkward to handle.

The box is really awkward for carrying, unless you steal a shopping cart.

You could strap it to your back with bungie cords.
Or you could being a skateboard, put the box on the skateboard, then ride the whole thing home! You could take off your shirt and use it as a sail!

Just light some homeless guy on fire and take his shopping cart.

Maybe it's 'cause my arms are long, but the box didn't turn out to be awkward to carry at all. It was pretty light as well.

Anyways...this game is frickin' awesome. Just got the Oasis pack. I'm eagerly awaiting A RHCP and Bruce pack. :D

I carried mine around the mall for a while while the wife shopped.

6 blocks is doable, but it is a bit heavy and the box is too big to get a good grip on.

I'd take a cab.

The box isn't too heavy, especially if you're in shape at all. I carried mine around the mall, onto the streetcar here in Toronto, then to the wall climbing gym, then back on the streetcar, then the subway, and finally up the street to my place!

As others have said, weight shouldn't be an issue, but it's dimensions are such that it would be difficult to walk with it. I'm sure it's doable, you're just going to look like an idiot. I mean, I'd do it (I've carried much heavier/awkward objects before) but a lot of people can't put up with looking silly in public. Then again, they're not the type of people to buy Rock Band to begin with.

The rock Band box isn't that heavy. I carried it all the way out of Wal-Mart to my car and the only problem I had was the bulk of the box, it was a bit awkward. Other then that it was pretty easy.

If you get a friend to take a video of you walking it home, I'll pay pal you 20$.

But it better be six blocks at least.

Watch it be only 2 blocks, so he has to circle a few buildings to cover the required ground;)

Awesome! Make it 20 blocks (all video taped) and I bet we could get a sponsor for each block.
