I created this thread with the intention of learning what song you believe would be some hardcore bad ass thrashing, shredding goodness. Or just some fast finger picking. You decide. Give use some feedback to as to why you'd like to see that song in there or even better post a link.
Either way give us your thought's for a song you wish you would've seen included in these popular rhythm games.
I'll start it off. I'm still hungering for some

Eh, if you want great bass go elsewhere. They made bass guitar parts a focus, but Flea isn't near as good as other bassists out there.

Buckethead - Big Sur Moon (I know he was already in Guitar Hero II but this song just reeks of cool) BTW this is a remix done by some random dude and I actually find this rendition is better than the original.

Probably Rock Band because I'd love to do the karaoke.
Somedays - The Strokes (whenever I'm in a bad mood, I listen to this. I love it.)
Better Living Through Chemistry - Queens of the Stone Age (the most epic song evar.)
A New Language - The (International) Noise Conspiracy (I just like the guitar noise, and the beat)
Brainstorm - Arctic Monkeys (just soo cool)
New Born - Muse
Any god damn Desert Session song.from Desert Sessions 1 or 2. It would suck for the singer, but damn, I love desert sessions.

No problem, I know you're just joking.
Now that I think about it, Punks Blood has great drum parts too, so it might not be bad for Rockband except for lack of lyrics. Subsutaneous Phat could be good if the singer doesn't mind just going "Ooooooooooooo Ooooooo" for the whole song. Truly I think one of the PJ Harvey songs would be best on rockband.
By the way, Better Living Through Chemistry is my favorite song on Rated R

See, I just cut out most insane guitar playing and drumming because of the speed and it would stop being "fun" for me.
For instance, I don't like playing GH or RB on anything over medium most times. The hard versions are just frustrating and not fun.

The fun though is getting good at them through sucking badly for a long enough time. I was never good enough at GH to get past medium until I went to college at which point I played so much that I'm now really good at the game on higher levels. Then again some people like my neighbor at school, whom I hate for being so good, are good at it from the first time they play.

Anything by Frank Zappa.
I'd kill to play the solo from Muffin Man (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CGO9I8rmkE) - (begins at 1.50) - but considering the first 1.25 of the song is mainly keyboard - I'd highly doubt it.
Still - there's a heap of Zappa stuff that could be easily more accessible and put in.
Anything Zappa. Anything. It must be done - to do justice to the legacy of one of the greatest composers in American history.
Oh yeah - and I'd love to play some hip hop. Plenty of Run DMC tracks (Rock Box would be awesome) from the old days are guitar based (they had a session guitarist playing on most of their albums - as that's how Rick Rubin liked it). Gawd - Tone Loc's "Wild thing" would rock. Since they like to mix their genres up - I'd dare say something's on the cards.

I know it's silly, but more Bon Jovi (not because it is hard, but because it would be so fun. Livin' On A Prayer, You Give Love A Bad Name, Blaze of Glory.).
I think more Killers songs would be great (Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me, Sam's Town).
And since we are wishing for things that won't happen, Everclear. I'd love to play "Santa Monica" or "Unemployed Boyfriend".
I'm only talking about Rock Band here. Guitar Hero...eh. Whatever. I have GH3, and love it, but I'm so taken by Rock Band it's not even funny.

These forums never fail to surprise me. The amount of love for Mark Knopfler (sp?)/Dire Straits shown here has almost renewed my faith in humanity. Ditto for Neil Young.
As great as the song Knights of Cydonia is, I would rather have seen Assassin in GHIII. I'm also waiting for There Goes My Hero by the Foo Fighters and La Via Viaquez by The Mars Volta. Assemble the Empire or End Moraine by Sparta would kick some serious ass as well. I've also been lobbying for Jesus Christ Pose by Soundgarden, as somebody else mentioned, for some time now.
