Word from Joystiq (http://www.joystiq.com/2008/01/16/pinball-fx-scares-up-new-haunted-mansion-table/) is that a new table is on the way for Pinball FX. XBLA game Pinball FX is getting the spooky Nightmare Mansion expansion table. With "haunted house motifs, monstrous sounds and ghoulish effects" for 200 MS Points ($2.50)
More tables look to be on the way in the coming weeks.
Ever since I was a young boy, I've played the silver ball. I really like pinball.

Oh shit, thanks for reminding me how I need to finally buy Pinball FX. I too have grown up being a prisoner to the pinball machine.
Hell, Metroid Prime Pinball almost killed my DS, I swear I've played 200+ hours of it.

For you pinball enthusiasts.

Great community of table makers in there. There is a really fun BattleStar Galactica 1970's available that I like a lot.

Pinball is one of my favorite games and I'm very critical of vdeo pinball. Do you own a table? We have a fairly old table at my house.

When I was younger...from like 5 to 15, we had a table here at my house. It's now at my aunt's place in her game room. Old table too. I grew up playing it. Then, around 13 or so, I was on vacation with my parents, stopped in a town in Georgia on our way to Knoxville, TN. to spend the night and we were staying at a hotel within walking distance to a little go-kart track that had an arcade.
They had about 5 tables in there and "Funhouse" just sucked me in. After that, I always kept an eye out for tables anywhere I was.

I like Pinball FX, and I bought this table because I like it AND want to support similar games.
One major complaint...the flippers have absolutely no ability to pass the ball from side to side. It's impossible. I don't like that.

I prefer my rock and roll with a little less Elton John:

I almost linked to The Who version of the song, but that Elton John musical version was just so hilarious, I had to link it ;)

The arcade here in IU's Student Union used to have like 6 pinball machines. I remember during sophmore year, I'd always stop by on a Thursday after classes and blow like $5 playing pinball. We had this one machine called "Theatre Magic", which was my favorite. I actually got on the high score board once... that made my week!
Anyway, the arcade isn't there anymore, it's just empty space for now. :(

Whenever I am in my Airport, I always throw at least $5 into Medieval Madness before I have to board my plane. Always loved playing pinball, just don't get to do it nearly often enough.

So, why doesn't this game have local multiplayer? Isn't that sort of required for pinball games? :)

Dude! They have that table at the Pinball Hall of fame here in Vegas. It just got new flippers too. Or, as the little sign says it "New Flippers with new power, put your balls in the doll's mouth!"
Hmm. I don't like the haunted mansion table all that much. Its good, sure, but its not as good as the free one (Buccaneers) they put out a few months ago.
Sweet. I only bought this a few weeks back and love it. I'm gonna pick up this table for sure.
I'd love it if they started doing licenced tables. I'd kill for Star Trek TNG and Demolition Man.

I finally got to play both of those over at the Hall of Fame. Great tables. I'd personally wish for Lord of the Rings, Adams Family or the Star Wars Trilogy ones.

That's great news - I grew up with pinball machines in the house, and my fiance and I have spent many hours playing Pinball FX. It really is a great game, I'm glad that they're still going to release tables for it. The free one from last year is really good too.

My parents got my brothers and me one when I was 14. Swords of Fury. I got so good I racked scores over 10 million time and time again. However the high score list only went to 9,999,999. So I was always in 1st through last place.
Just keep me away from a Medieval Madness table. I sold my sole to it long ago, and must heed when it beckons

I remember when I was a kid and loving the KISS pinball machine. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Now the Journey video game? Well thats a differeent story!

Man, I gotta get a bigger house. With our newest addition (daughter born beginning of Dec.), I lost my game room to the nursery and had to sell all three of my pinball machines. I laid a guilt trip on the wifey for that one -- she liked them as well.
I'm pretty sure that when we move to a bigger place in a few years, I'll be able to restart the collection, assuming prices haven't climbed through the roof.
Favorite machine -- definitely Whirlwind. First machine I ever had to replace the playfield on. Absolutely a PITA but what a sense of accomplishment once it's back up and running like a dream.

Oh, and coming out in the not too distant future (I hope):
Pinball Hall of Fame - The Williams Collection (http://www.gamespot.com/wii/puzzle/pinballhalloffamethewilliamscollection/index.html)
A site that puts this under "puzzle" games needs a swift kick but it has the best screenshot archive I've been able to locate.

Once I got older I always wanted to own a more modern table than what I had when I was younger and now that I have the means somewhat, I'm totally lost on what table I want.

Like I said, check out Future Pinball, it is freaking free after all.
Also Scott, I would be your bff if you got an Adams Family table.
