We know that Capcom is re-imagining Bionic Commando for the current generation of consoles, but sadly (and par for the course), the Wii is being left out of the party. However, GoNintendo has started (http://gonintendo.com/?p=33242) a petition that you can sign (http://www.petitiononline.com/0819/petition.html) if you want to make your voice heard by Capcom.

Now, I know what you're going to say: online petitions aren't exactly the most successful driving force behind change in any industry. However, this is a special case, as Capcom appears to be actively investigating the possibility of the game coming to the Wii if the fans are interested.

"It will largely depend on what the fans want for the future of Bionic Commando. If the interest is there, of course we want as many people as possible to appreciate this great franchise." - Capcom's Ben JuddIf you are really serious about wanting BC on the Wii, it also might not be a bad idea to post your thoughts on the official Capcom Unity BC boards (http://www.capcom.com/BBS/forumdisplay.php?f=264).

Didn't they do something like this for a PSP game last year? Resident Evil I think. I wonder if anything ever came of that.

EDIT: Here's the story (http://www.pspfanboy.com/2007/08/23/resident-evil-petition-gets-capcoms-attention), and here's the petition (http://www.petitiononline.com/pspres/petition.html). Capcom said they'd consider it if they got over 10k signatures. They got over 32k.

The Bionic Commando I want for Wii isn't the same Bionic Command that we've been seeing new trailers for. I don't want Bionic Spiderman...

Woah!
There are already 6,587 signatures!

Waggle Commando!

I could see the game showing up on the Wii, with shaking the controller to attack (like Mario spinning in Galaxy or Link in Twilight Princess), and flicking it shoot the grappling hook (like fishing in some games). That said, I hate those lame uses of the Wiimote. But be prepared for me to be right.

Just like Capcom's other Wii efforts, right?

Good in my opinion.

That said, I hate those lame uses of the Wiimote. But be prepared for me to be right.I would prefer something like pointing at your target (enemy or ledge) with the Wiimote and pressing a button to shoot out the bionic arm. And honestly, after RE4 Wii and Zack & Wiki, I trust Capcom to make a solid Wii version of any game.

That's because the Wii isn't next-gen. ;)

What?

I thought something like bionic commando for the Wii was a no brainer. Think the grapple in Metroid Prime 3.

This is pointless. Whether or not they put it out on the Wii will be a business decision. The cost of developing the gameplay for the Wii (which I admit could be very fun with this license) may not be worth the projected sales, especially if the same version is being developed for the 360 and PS3.

I'm all for Capcom making a Wii-exclusive version of Bionic Commando, i.e. a totally different version with Wii-centric gameplay, but I'll pass on a port of the 360/PS3 version with tacked-on waggle controls and downscaled graphics. That'd be a waste of gamers' time and Capcom's resources.

At the rate the Wii is selling, Capcom pretty much will have to make a version.

I want the OG Bionic Commando with the Japanese (i.e. correct) level progression.

Nope! PS3 or 360 is fine thank you!

I don't really want to play the shadyness that was Spiderman 3 (Wii) again.

Yeah, 3.6 attach rate is horrible. :p

Is it? I thought it was fairly standard for a console system in its first year...

Although there IS no denying that the 360 has broken the bell curve!

It was a joke. It's perfectly fine. It's fun to watch the haters try to point at ANYTHING and then see the Wii make them have to eat crow.

Nintendo has made this gen fun to watch.

That game was shady on any platform if you ask me (though I did not personally try the Wii version)

If they can release it on the Wii with proper controls and all, and I don't doubt that, then yeah, go for it I say.
