Namco today released online gameplay details for "Ridge Racer 6," the latest installment in the legendary drift racing series for the Xbox 360.

Featuring trademark high-speed arcade racing and breathtaking high-definition visuals, the game lets players compete head to head in online races and download new content via Xbox LiveŽ for the first time in the history of the Ridge Racer franchise. "Ridge Racer 6" will be available for the Xbox 360 at launch in North America.

Nice 1. I think i'll buy this over PGR3 to be honest. I assume Ridge Racer still has a arcade type feel to it?

It might help if Namco release some sort of screenshot/video from actual gameplay.

I assume Ridge Racer still has a arcade type feel to it?I hope so. I much prefer arcade racing to 'simulation' racing.

I am just waiting for Criterion to finish Burnout 4 so they can get working on number 5. I can only imagine what glorious wonders they will be able to pull off with the next gen hardware.

4 doesn't look nice enough?

Am I the only one who thinks Black looks nicer than most of the 360 and PS3 games?

But yeah, I love Criterion, even if they sold out.

I mean that I don't believe that RR will be out end of this year, as I still have not seen gameplay screenshots or videos. So I'm not convinced.
