Merry New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed a safe and fun holiday evening and that everyone survived to enjoy the day off.

I'll be at work on the holiday, but holiday days are usually pretty slow so it won't be like real work.

2007 was a great year for us. bapenguin trash talked Microsoft's biggest game in the national press (and lived to tell about it) and I'm hoping we can have just as much fun in 2008.

My resolutions for 2008 are pretty simple, I need to write more, read more and enjoy the books and video games I own now instead of spending gobs of cash on new books and games.

(I'm sure I broke that last one already.)

Oh, and I need to train the darn dog.

EvAv is definitely my favorite community. My resolution for 2008 is to quit drinking. Seriously. Right now I have no recollection of how I got home. :|

Up until recently I had thought that 2007 was complete shit outside of entertainment releases (which at times were the only thing I looked forward to and "kept me going" as it were) but suddenly certain things came to light and some information came my way, and as it turns out it was a fucking GREAT year for me! Happy new years everyone, I hope everyone that makes Evil Avatar a family, and my favourite place to come every day has a utterly fantastic year.

My resolution? Lose some god damn weight and meet another metal girl thats actually worth my time.

Just finished shoveling 4" of snow. What a way to bring in the new year. I'm with Evil on what I would like to do this year. Play the games that I have before moving on to others. I guess that means I'll be firing up a lot of oldies - DOA4, The Outfit, Table Tennis, Chrome Hounds, N3, Just Cause, Crackdown, Viva Pinata, Dead Rising... the list goes on and on.

One thing is for sure, I look forward to posting and gaming with everyone here for yet another year. Thanks guys for making my year a bit more bearable :)

That is my big one... to try to read the books I have and play the games I have before stocking up on new stuff.

Even if I didn't buy a single book all year -- I would get something like 48 books from the book clubs that I'm in (one is pre-paid so that is nice) and obviously I'm going to buy the two or three special editions my favorite author puts out this year.

Games are another one... I play all the games I buy, but I don't always play them all the way through. But, I can't cut back on games. Heh.
