A new game? No. A new live action movie? No. It's a full length original CGI film called Resident Evil: Degeneration and from the looks of the teaser its gonna be a blood bath.

If its anything like FFVII Advent Children, it will surely get a rise out of Resident Evil fans.

While the trailer is about a week old, this is still pretty cool news.

This is how I want them to do the Agent Red movie. :)

I think RE4 takes place 6 years after the events of Raccoon City. So it should be 1 year after the events of RE4.

But really, who gives a shit. They will find a way to fuck with the "mythos" anyways.

The mythos is so fucked up already. I think this should be awesome. I was lost story wise on FFVII Advent Children, but I never played FFVII. The action was what really did it for me. All sorts of awesome. Not that much awesome in running out off bullets and shooting stuff when you can. Story wise though it could come through. I hope.

It's one year after RE:4. Also, why would you peg Chris as the 'Hero' Jill, Leon and Claire have all had more screen time then Chris.

I had always sort of assumed that while he didn't get the screen time, he was seen as the main guy in the first RE. He's always been a favourite of the team behind the series, especially since they hinted at Wesker becoming his particular nemesis in Veronica.

It is Chris, it also looks like either Jill or Rebecca is in it. Might also be an older Sherry.

That looks alot like Leon in the clips. Also it looks alot like Claire as well. Chris has had some good screen time. I mean there was RE, then RE:Code Veronica, and now RE 5. Leon has RE2 and RE4. Claire has RE2 and RE:Code Veronica. Jill has been in RE, and RE3. Wesker was in RE and RE: Code Veronica. Rebecca was in RE and RE:0.

I think that's about it for the main folks that have been in more than one game. But to me it looks like a tale that is around Leon and Claire and might tie into RE5. Heck just because Chris is seen as the main star does not mean we won't get involved with other folks.

Probably can't be any worse than the RE:Apocalypse movie (or whatever the title of the one taking place in Las Vegas).

Never watched that one myself, but it was in and out of theaters right quick.

This looks like it could be good. Even though it's not a live action, it's an RE movie, and FINALLY with Leon and seemingly Claire. Thank God. I'm tired to death of that stupid Alice character. If I have to see Mila Jovovich in an RE movie one more time, I think I'll scream.
