Pro-G (http://www.pro-g.co.uk/) has a hands-on preview of Rebellion’s upcoming sniping game.

To clear things up, you aren't entirely restricted to using sniper rifles. You can pick up various other weapons, such as pistols, machine guns and grenades, but these are really only to be used in extreme circumstances. For the most part you should be out of sight, sniping enemies from a distance. If you're spotted or an enemy soldier catches you off guard you have your close combat weapons to get you out of a tight spot.

You know, when they say that video games train killers, and I'm telling them that they're wrong, this is the type of game that I'm secretly trying to kick under the couch while I'm yelling at them.

the name of the game just makes me cringe. reminds me of all the sniper wannabes in other games who call themselves similar names.

if they make it a real sniper experience, it'll be boring.

I see your point. The Gran Turismo subtitle (The Real Driving Simulator) gets on my nerves for the same reason. Not once have I ever stopped off for groceries in any of the Gran Turismo games, so to call it the 'real' driving simulator is a stretch.
