COD 4 Patch Live?

Just hopped onto Call of Duty 4 on the Xbox 360 and the updated playlists are available. I'm enjoying some 'Mercenary Team Deathmatch' as you read this! I haven't seen anything official on fourzerotwo.com or charlieoscardelta.com. Also, the Message of the Day hasn't been updated. I can't be certain that any of the changes beyond the updated playlists are live, but I'm thankful enough for Mercenary Team Deathmatch that I won't complain.

I'm pretty sure if the game doesn't ask you to update your version, it isn't updated. Playlists can be updated without a patch, however. I believe this means the patch will be here in a day or two.

Merc Team DM is just Team DM without parties, so everyone is randomly picked.

Clarification: Playlist changes coming soon (in December) patch won't be through certification till after December
Edit: confirmed the changes to the play list. I expect we will see the patch after the holidays.

Playlists have been updated along with all map rotations being adjusted from what i have seen so far.

There's a serious problem with this new merc mode

For whatever reason hosts keep disconnecting, its always when the hosts team is winning as well.

I don't know if it's coincidence, technical issues or purposeful griefing to get higher wins, but its fucking annoying.

While this is a nice update, we really need the Host-Switching asap.

I often only get to play for 20-30 mins while the other half is cooking dinner
Last time I had 1 HTDM with 15 secs on the clock left, then the host closed the lobby before the next round,
1 HTDM where the host ended the match only moments after I joined,
1 HS&D where I joined on the final round so no play
and 1 HS&D where I joined with one team losing 3-0 and the host ended at the start of the next round.
All together I got about 30 secs of play, no kills and no deaths. Then dinner was ready.
She thinks I should cut down on CoD4 because it always seems to get me in a bad mood.

Yeah, I'm a little more sad every day that goes by without the patch. People are abusing the lack of host migration something fierce.

It happens less on non TDM game types because of the bonus to experience you get at the end even if you didn't win.

Ever hit a playlist and instead of it finding you a game it put you into a game lobby by yourself?

You're hosting.

If you get a lead in that game and you quit.. you win.

And that's not even taking into consideration the people that know enough about their routers and have the software required to figure out exactly when they are or aren't the host.

I've had multiple games in Mercenary Team DM since it's inception in the playlist where my team leads from the start up into the 3 or 400 point range, but then the minute they gain even a ten point lead the match miraculously ends because the host leaves.

It'd be different if it didn't happen as often as it does.
