The year is 2008. Citywide blackouts... stock exchange sabotage... electronic hijacking of national defense systems... this is information warfare, which has become the most dangerous threat to global stability. To prevent these attacks, you must infiltrate deep into hostile territory and aggressively collect critical intelligence, closer than ever to enemy soldiers. You are Sam Fisher, the NSA's most elite black-ops agent.

Ubisoft has released a new patch for its stealth action game Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. This update brings your game to v1.04 and mainly addresses a divergence problem and adds ATI Shader Model 2.0 support.

You can grab the SCCT v1.04 patches (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=27155) (80/35mb) over at WorthPlaying

Holy fuck, I'm so pumped now, I'm glad this was in the story. My God, I've never been so pumped for a patch!

It now looks a whole lot better on ATI cards. The faces in particular are much improved and have no pixelisation any more.

I don't know if it's related, but I played the first mission with the patch and I saw several animation glitches, like people juddering around replaying the first couple of frames as they moved and teleporting after playing the 'squeeze past' animation.
