Aliens TC. Absolutley the coolest TC evar.
In college we actually loaded this with the networked version of Doom and were able to play 4 player co-op.
It was the most awesome co-op experince...and that was not intended. Ammo was scarce and we really had to work together. Only game where I ever jumped.

Did anyone read the Cindarella-fantasies-in-Second Life article? It was way too long and way, way too creepy for me.

Yes, I did. Actually suffered through the whole thing.........very creepy indeed. Though I admit I now have an urge to dip my toes into Second Life and see what the temperature is like. ;) Just for the sake of curiosity....

Cool online mag but I don't quite understand it. Since it's free, how is it funded? I haven't seen any ads yet. I hope it's not selling my email.

Look around on the site a little. In their about section, specifically. Two things jump out: first that you can by adspace, so even though there aren't ads yet, you can expect that there probably will be in the future.
Second: they have a whole section about what information they collect when you visit the site, what they do with it, and what they do not do with it. Of note: "The Escapist does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or nonaffiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested, when we have your permission..."
It looks like any info they do sell is just anonymous stats about who is reading their site, nothing specific like e-mail addys. So I don't think you have to worry about that.

Oh my goodness, yes. I just (finally) finished it. I have loved The Escapist for the most part, but I thought that article was terrible. Don't they have word limits??

i couldn't agree more.... I often don't mind reading large articles (if interesting) but that article wasn't ultra interesting... and the LONG Disney World introduction was really pointless for me.
mmm but i suddenly want to try second life...
