Blade Runner - The Final Cut on the big screen owns that entire list.

I went to see No Country for Old Men. I enjoyed the movie but I did not care for it's non-ending. Message received Joel and Ethan. Your point is made and I, in a way, agree. I am probably in the minority with my opinion and that's fine with me.

You could check my review. You do not like the ending, you will hate it, but it is the only possible resolution to keep with the movie's logic.

Saw Hitman over the weekend.
Surprisingly, not bad.
Not good, but, not bad. A complete shoot em up and great to just sit back and enjoy after a couple of beers.

I don't understand the claim that it is a "non-ending." The major plot conflict was resolved. And the sherrif's discussion of his dream is a obvious metaphor for the place where his life seeking justice has left him. It ties up both the plot and the theme nicely.
And what the hell is a matter with people? This movie only does 23 million? After this and Gone Baby Gone, it is pretty disappointing to see the state of the film going public at large.

No Country For Old Men and The Assassination of Jesse James By The Coward Robert Ford are amazing films.
Movies of the year for sure.

Maybe I need to watch the movie again but I won't pay to see it again. I didn't think anything was resolved and maybe that was the point. Perhaps it was over my head.

The film going public at large has ALWAYS been lowest common denominator. If you make a movie that is hard to understand, it will fail to make shit loads of money. Doesn't mean it's bad (though just because something is esoteric doesn't make it good either). Doesn't mean that some folks might not love it forever. But John and Jane from next door aren't generally going to the movies for insight into their lives or even to think much period... they are going to be entertained.

Reason #1: Very little advertising.
Reason #2: Stupid titles. Especially Gone Baby Gone. I'm sorry, but no matter how much you say it was cool, it's hard to get past a title that sounds like a Lifetime special.
Because I enjoy spending my money on trash (which then somehow equates to me feeling a little bit better about myself... sort of like watching a Jerry Springer marathon), I went with a friend to see Hitman this past week.
Painfully enough, it wasn't nearly as bad as it should have been. Movie was not good in any real sense of the word, but I enjoyed it just the same. Nakedness and guns and a ridiculous sword fight at least tallies up to a near win.
Keep in mind I also own Stay Alive. So I'm sure your mileage may vary.

I think my appreciation for TAJJBCRF was lessened by my friend riffing on The Soup and talking about "Tyler Perry Presents Tyler Perry's The Assasination of Tyler Perry By The Coward Tyler Perry Featuring Tyler Perry As Tyler Perry" and both the headache and the visuals brought out by that whole thing.
Oh, and Hitman's Timothy Olyphant is getting the Honorary Osmond award by managing to have the entirety of his face on the lower half of his head.

$59.7 million so far for Fred Claus?!?!
I didn't think it would even get half that.
Die Vince Vaughn.

Enchanted actually was quite good -- I saw it for my wife, but was pleasantly surprised.
