I enjoyed all the Square Enix coverage at Gamespot, not sure why they didn't mention this (http://www.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3142454&did=1). Maybe it got lost with their 'Xbox Summit' coverage. ;)

The A.I. of your partners is pretty sharp too, as Ashe may cure Vaan or Basch when their HP gets low, which really takes a lot of the stress and micro-managing away from the series.
When that sort of thing is considered to cause stress, I begin to wonder why this type of person is writing up an article for such a game.

Agreed.
And Gamespot... what a joke.

He is the brain behind Orge Battle. Kind of a bummer.

Some more FFXII info! Yay!
I didn't know Matsuno left the team. Isn't this the FF Tactics guy? Why did he leave?

Sigh. Now it's not slated to come out in Japan until next March 16 (3 days before my birthday!) which means it might not come out over here until summer or fall of next year.
Oh, if they can do a simultaneous release, I'd be ecstatic. A new FF game just before my 30th birthday... ah, synchronicity.

Allow me to translate:

No seriously, I have high hopes for this game, its been a long time since the last good Final Fantasy (FFX) and I need my fix.

I saw Moogles in the game. If I can play as one, I will buy it. If I can't, then I won't. It's pretty cut and dry for me :p

When part of the FFXII team was said to have left Square-Enix for Hironobu Sakaguchi's new development studio, Mist Walker, Matsuno was reported to have not shown up for work for a month until the crisis was resolved. In fact, we're not sure what Matsuno is working on now, and whether he was kicked off the team or if he voluntarily removed himself, although he is still said to be at Square. The RPG powerhouse is reported to have a replacement at the helm already, the choice of whom is likely to raise the eyebrows of many people who have been following the troubled chapter's evolution

wow I had no idea, I'm guessing that this is why the game is taking so long.
