I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. CoH? WoW? What are those? I am enjoying playing Gothic 2 again (this time as a fire mage) and have had no desire for those MMORPGs at this time. I love it when I find places or quests for Gothic 2 that I didn't find the first time (or couldn't do because they were for the other character types). As we get ready for the dog days of summer, what are you playing this weekend?

Before the weekend I was playing Age of Empires III. ;)

I'm starting my "short" work weekend tonight (Naturally, I called off sick on my birthday. Crappy thing to do, but they wouldn't give me the day off any other way.) and when I get back I'll be playing more Battlefiend 2 and my new obsession: EvE Online.

I've borrowed Doom3 from a friend and am playing it through for the first time. It's entertaining but its getting to the point where its all getting very predictable, very bland.

I'm either at work or out at night, so at work I'll sneak in some Lumines. Oh, and a friend bought me Men of Valor because he believes it's one of the best XBox Live! games. We'll see.

I'm playing with lawn tools, such as weedwhackers, mowers, scisor hedgetrimmers, and shovels (?!).

Aren't you all standing in awe and envy of me right now?! I actually get to go outside and brave the front yard for hours on end whilst showing off my pure, raw, gaming muscle!!!!! FEAR MY POWER!!!!

(Damn blisters)

HL2CTF Beta 1.5 - Haven't played a non-TRIBES FPS CTF game in a long time. Had a good time being lost and weaponless on the maps!

Robotech: Battlecry - Dunno why I'm playing this again. I've got several unfinished Xbox and GCN games sitting around not being played because of it. Whatevs!

Just got to the shark pool in the original Resident Evil. I keep getting eaten so I can watch them over again! Gotta love sharks, especially great big undead ones!

Lumines and lots of homebrew goodness on my 1.50 PSP. I may get off my ass and bust out some good old console RPGness.

I have a bunch of RPGs sitting around (mostly borrowed) that I haven't played much of yet. So let me ask you guys: which of the following list is worth playing?

-Skies of Arcadia Legends
-Tales of Symphonia
-Shadow Hearts
-Shadow Hearts Covenant

I'm getting my furniture together to move to a new place. My current place was already furnished so I didn't need anything but this time I needed everything.

If I play anything it will be Battlefield 2. Having played the Indigo Prophecy a demo a few times I'm now happily looking forward to that one coming out.

Mostly all of them, the real question is what should you start first. Ive heard good things about sOal so i would go for that first, then some shadow hearts.

Playing an unusual amount of Halo 2 online. Not sure at what point I got sucked back into this as I had stopped playing for quite some time, but I've been playing regularly every-other night for the past two weeks or so and am finding myself more interested in that than leveling in WoW. Strange days, these.

If anyone is at all in the mood to whip me stupid in some multiplayer, my gamertag is "Freakuency." Warning all ya'll right now that I suck. Come one come all.

Plenty of Pacific Fighters for me... my boy has suddenly got a bug up his butt about the game (which pleases me no end), so I'm showing him the ropes of the game and ever-so-slowly introducing more realism settings.

Other than that, I'll be doing some BF2 as well as some WoW and CoH.

Well, not really playing, but trying to find something worth playing. To be specific, I'm looking for a decent RPG on PS2. I'm still new to the system, but so far I've tried and thoroughly become repulsed by the following:

Final Fantasy X
Final Fantasy X2
Kingdom Hearts
Disgaea

Next up I am ganna try Star Ocean 3, ICO, and Dark Cloud 2. One of these is bound to be good....I hope. Otherwise I am going back to PS1 to get my fix for this genre. Valkyrie Profile calls my name.

A little Guild Wars and a little work on my NCAA 2006 Dynasty. Will someone at EA please hire an English major to work on the grammar of the default announcer? If I hear "The Bears is lined up for the kick-off" one more time I'm gonna tear out my hair.

Skies of Arcadia is one of the best RPG's ever, in my humble opinion. It's up there with Chrono Trigger in the sheer fun and joy category. Plus it has sky pirates. Can't go wrong there.

Shadow Hearts was good, but I loved Covenant. It helps if you've played the first one but it's not 100% necessary.

Tales of Symphonia was a lot of fun as well but I'd leave it till last.

Skies of Arcadia all the way!

I don't know if I'd call ICO an RPG, but damn is it ever awesome. Dark Cloud 2 is great too.

Atelier Iris is fantastic if you like older-style RPG's. It's absolutely hilarious and has a tonne of stuff to do.

As for what I'm playing, I had to work a 12 hour shift today and an 8 hour shift tomorrow, but I have Monday & Tuesday off so it's not all bad. That, and my brand new GBA SP is helping me play GBA games at work much more surrepticiously.

I'm mostly working on Fire Emblem 2 for the GBA and WoW when I have some free time on the PC. The in-laws are down for the weekend though so I doubt I will be able to flake out on the couch and play anything on my consoles, though Atelier Iris is calling me back and I still have to finish my rental copy of Killer 7 (thank god I have no time limit to return it).

I just picked up Shenmue 2 for the Xbox, mainly because it was cheap. I have the Dreamcast version and finished it, but I want to see how truly horrid the voiceovers are on the Xbox. I also picked up Twisted Metal Black for the second time. I never really gave it a try when I first had it and gave it to my friend instead. After playing God Of War, I want to see if TMB is as awesome as the Cult Of David Jaffe say it is. I love the tone and characters. I just remember having a hell of a time actually playing it.

I tried it but unfortunately it has known issues when played on the PS2 hard drive. The voice clips randomly stop working. And I don't play PS2 games if they don't work off the HDD, since the PS2 lens is never reliable.

The voice clips do that on my new skinny PS2 every so often too, but frankly, it's nothing to stop playing the game over. I'd give it another shot. All of the speech is also there in word balloons, as such, so you don't miss anything.

It's nice to know that it's not just my PS2 that's doing that.

Makai Warriors - I'm a fan of Nippon Ichi games.

How is Makai Warriors? I want to get it but I also have the first three tactical games (Disgaea, La Pucelle and Phantom Brave) sitting on my shelf, gathering dust. I love them, but I just don't have the time to play them seriously right now. I'm sure Makai Warriors will rock but I don't know if I can afford to get it right now, knowing that I won't be able to seriously play it for a while.

My second week in Guild Wars (played a lot of the multiplayer beta, and finally picked up the game).

A really good game, and a lot of fellow Evil Avatar members seem to think so as well. I played WoW when it first launched and I find GW much more enjoyable. Although I was never a Warcraft fan and the comical graphics turn me off.

Guild Wars is a very epic games and now that I am level 20 and heading to the Underworld, I am simply amazed. The amount of content that goes beyond the level 20 character is great. A skill based game indeed, unfortunately my skills will never tone to those above me.

Well, my bastard friends decided to go back to UO... So that means that I had to as well. Went and bought the Gold Edition for $10, it comes with an "advanced character" meaning you start out with fairly high skills. I'm enjoying, surprisingly, mostly because it's so easy to get money. I mean, after playing maybe 2-3 hours, I have 50k of gold, and me and my friends have a house to share.

Other than that, I'm about to start Resident Evil 4 as I type this, just got it in yesterday.

Got Conker: Live and Reloaded. It's a great looking game, but I haven't had much time to put into the single player. The learning curve on the multiplayer is pretty much a vertical line though, so we'll see how good it is long term.

It is definitely more of the same. Funny and fun, but not as cool as Disgaea and definitely an absurd timesink.

No, there are known voice issues/bugs, but nothing too severe. I'm playing right now and it's actually starting to pick up pace. Not too bad of a game--I love oldschool throwbacks. The RPG genre specifically.

I immediately called a friend over to play some of the co-op on the lan and i have to say it was the best multiplayer experience I've ever had!
