Xbox 360 Backwards Compatiblity List Updated

It's been a while, but the BC List (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitygameslist.htm) has been updated to include almost 90 new titles.

Some highlights:

Freedom Fighters
Worms 3D
Indiana Jones And The Emperors Tomb
Blood Omen 2

Also, I'm tickled to see "Golden Eye: Rogue Agent" make the list as well. I thought that was a really fun FPS in multiplayer. Not quite as good as NightFire, but still really fun.

And it looks like "Barbie Horse Adventures" has finally been dethroned as the worst game to get BC, as I now see "The Guy Game" on the list. I hope that was one of the titles that "just happened" to start working, and that they didn't put any effort into getting that one running.

EDIT: Also nice to see Colin Mcrae 2005 as well as LOTR:The Third Age (although I'm convinced I'm the only person in the world that bought that game who actually enjoyed it and played it through to the end).

So... I can't think of anything other than Riddick that I wish would be made BC, and I know that one's never going to happen because of the remake coming to the 360.

Anything else we're still waiting on that I've forgotten? It would probably be easier to tell if there was a list somewhere of games that AREN'T yet BC.

NBA 2k3, a 5-year old sports title, even got added.
I don't think there are many games in my collection that aren't supported yet. There's Unreal Championship and DRIV3R, neither of which I'm too concerned about.

Armed and Dangerous, APEX, Collin McRae 2k5, Godzilla Destroy All Monsters.....Hunter! FINALLY. I loved the Hunter games, despite their minor issues. Now if they can just finish BC on the other one. Ooo, and Syberia 2. Nice, all games I own.

Nice to see High Heat Baseball 2004 on there finally as well, High Heat was the best baseball sim out there might not have been the prettiest but the gameplay and features were always top notch. Oddly enough when 3DO went under Microsoft bought the rights to the IP & the game engine and have done absolutely nothing with it.

Thats because in order to get EA to support Xbox Live, MS dropped its sports line entirely. Hell the lead guys on NBA Inside Drive now are the lead guys on 2k's NBA title. I had thought I remembered reading somewhere awhile back that MS sold High Heat to Ubisoft but I could be wrong. Not that it would make sense anyway since Ubisoft doesn't do sports titles.

Wow... I just loaded up NFL 2k5, and it actually holds up really, really well against the modern games visually. I'd forgotten just how good the animations were in the game, especially for the time. Visually, there's quite a bit of jaggies, but I'd bet that if you were playing 2k5 and Madden 07 side by side on two 360s, both running on standard def CRT televisions, there wouldn't be a whole lot of difference.

EDIT: Oh--and I forgot to mention... On the 360, it plays in widescreen. I guess the original game must have had 480p support. I never knew that. Looks good, though. :)

I'm glad they are still going on with BC, I really am, but I'm bummed nearly all the titles added are dogshit games and old sports titles no one bothers with anymore (exception being 2k5).

I mean c'mon...where are the James Bond games? Warriors? Otogi? Strangers Wrath? Fuck, there's still some firstparty titles missing, like Rallisport Challenge 2.

I'm glad the BC is still coming, but I hope the next update is better.

She was in the game. She was 17 instead of 18 and lied on her application. As soon as it was found out the original game was pulled from the shelves to remove her and a new version was released without her in it.

Not that I would know about that or anything.
