Look out, Penny and friends! The next wave of webcomics is powered by the awesomeness of SOURCE.

Did I mention that I'm not just talking about Apostacy and PHWcomics (http://www.phwcomics.com/)?

Concerned: The Half-Life and Death of Gordon Frohman (http://www.hlcomic.com/) is funny! Laughing out loud funny!

There's too much to quote here, so learn about Concerned here (http://www.hlcomic.com/premise.html#con). Don't worry, you'll get a kick out of it. Why? Because the entire site is hilarious!

Here's an informal teaser:

Those who have never played Half-Life 2 will be in the dark on a lot of the goings-on in the comic strip, as much of the dialogue and situations are pulled directly from the game or are based on the game's plot, history, and background. For those who someday plan to play Half-Life 2, read this comic with caution as there will be major spoilers.

He lacks the funny. And also artistic abilities. Double failure!

Reminds me of that annoying trend where every idiot and his brother would make a webcomic using NES/SNES character sprites, and absolutely none of them were good.

I thought it was great. I only intended to read the first one or two and ended up reading every one. I have a feeling that I'll be a regular.

There are some gems but mostly crap.

Not very funny. The Gman stuff was alright. Noteworthy only because it's a slight variation of the much maligned Sprite Comic.

There are more Mega Man sprite comics than there are atoms in the universe.

I'm kind of wondering what comdies are going to be like by the time I'm ready to retire... Because if this still is "hilarious" and "Very witty" then we're all in serious trouble..... This stuff is retarded. Mildly amusing at times but generally retarded.

Interesting approach, but lacks artistic or comedic merit.

There's a really effin funny comic I posted up here back in march. I forgot the name. But it's the best. I'll go look around.

I had a post about why this "comic" isn't funny, but it got way too long. I'll just say it sucks and leave it at that.

Never played HL2 (computer just recently got an overhaul so I'll finally be able to pick it up and play it with some comfort now), so I'm sure I'm in the dark given some of the hidden jokes, but I at least found it entertaining. Probably not something I'd actively seek out when it comes to updates, but a decent time-kill for now nonetheless.

It's interesting how people either think it is completely hillarious, or lacking 'artistic merit' and other big words. Sometimes I wish I'd taken Physcology instead of Critical Thinking...

It managed to get a smirk out of me, which I guess is better than a kick in the pants.

Sure, it's not Penny Arcade but its funny and full of enjoyable HL2 in joke. Nice find and I'll certainly keep reading.

Even after playing HL2 I wouldn't consider this funny. Like other people said: lack neither any artistic merit nor humor..

The "STILL SEEING BREEN" machinima's still fresh in my mind, so I don't know about you, but Concerned is hilarious.

HL2 is everything but funny. I consider it an achievement, I mean this guy took something that is 100% packaged unfunny, dystopic unfunny, and totally turned it upside down on its head.

It's like a comedic 1984 - you'd never laugh at it if it wasn't for him. Best of all, it mirrors the events in HL2 perfectly!
