I don't have Bioshock yet, but this may be the incentive I was looking for. What are your thoughts on that whole DRM mess (which was partly the reason I haven't gotten it yet).

God Damn! Just another retailer I wish would ship internationally.

Wow! Already have Orange Box, but I think this just sold me on Bioshock.

EDIT: Yup, it did. I had a $10 BB digital coupon lying around my inbox, too. Bioshock for $15 with free shipping. Happy Thanksgiving! :D

I thought they quit the "5 installs per key" after a bad PR fallout.... unless your talking about something else then N/M :p

Pretty short, below par graphics (even when it was released), and a crappy story. I really like the gameplay and its clear if Neversoft was given more time, it could have been a really awesome game. I payed full price for this game when it was released and didn't think I was being screwed over. For $5 its totally worth it.

Disclaimer: if I remember right, the game does not support widescreen. Even with hacks and the like. Pretty strange given it was one of the first 360 games.

Of course, I had to post these best buy deals in the gamer deal forum after it was posted on the front page. Oh well, these deals are so good they should be posted twice!

I'm not a religious fan of Bioshock as most seem to be, but don't let the DRM put you off from getting this game at 25 bucks. It's worth twice that.

Thanks for the response. I ordered already, because really, something has to be almost vomit-inducing terrible to not be worth $5. Thanks to the head's up on this sale, I also picked up Carnivale seasons 1 and 2 and the Six Feet Under box set, both of which are much lower priced than anywhere else i could find.

It's true that Gun should have been a lot better than it was, because the genesis of some truly great gameplay was in there that didn't quite materialize - but that doesn't make it any less fun to take down bandits with headshots from the back of a horse going at full speed.

It's a solid game, just not quite the masterpiece it could have been. You'll get a solid playthrough out of it and be done, and for $5 that's quite a deal.

Hmm, I'm torn...

I had been planning on heading up there at 5 am to pick these up locally, and also to check out the mad stampede for big TVs and such. Now, I could get it from the comfort of my home, though there will be the wait for it to ship + extra cost if I expedite it.

I wonder if the online deal will still be here tomorrow, or if they'll run out? Then I could just check out the local store, and if either game isn't there I won't miss out on the deal.

For those games, that is a absolute steal. Both are pretty much the best first person shooter experiences you can get.

Sweet, finally picking up the Orange Box. :D Also picked up the Six Feet Under DVDs for gifts later. Too bad no free shipping for the DVDs, but eh. I figure it's worth $6 not to have to drive out to a BB and deal with the crowds tomorrow and risk not being able to get it anyway.

If the Orange Box wasn't a complete steal at $45 I might be annoyed by this, LOL. And unless you have no interest in the Orange Box there is no excuse not to take advantage. TF2 is worth the $25 alone. In fact just go buy both, you cannot go wrong.

It's definitely worth $5. There's enough varied gameplay in there to keep you busy for about 10 hours. Granted, the game looked pretty bad even at launch, but I had a lot of fun with it.

Orange Box on the PC already sold out. I wonder how many they had :)

If they also had the 360 version on sale, I'd have jumped at the chance in less than an instant. My PC just isn't up to proper gaming standards anymore, so I don't even dare attempt to play something like Bioshock...TF2 taxes it enough!

I wonder; if they were the xbox 360 versions; would they work on a british 360?

That is actually an amazing deal. If you were holding off on getting either one of these titles, now is the time!

Damnit, too late, they're gone.

Edit: But it is only $10 more at Circuit City (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Half-Life-2-Episode-Two-The-Orange-Box-PC-014633098525/sem/rpsm/oid/194703/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do). Pondering...

It's a great deal. Both titles are game of the year material and I absolutely love them both. Having said that, I don't regret purchasing both at launch. Defintetly worth the extra fifty bucks for both to play them when they were originally released.

I should be ashame of myself for being a long time player for PC games and I haven't touch HalfLife 2 never.. but after sometime looking some thread about TF2 and watching some videos on youtube and of course reading the review at gamespot tonight, I'm sold for $25.

Not without modding your console...and if you like being on Live, I wouldn't even bother unless you feel like buying a new console entirely.

Anyone know if this price is in-store as well? I hate the black Friday madness, but I may brave it to pick up a copy.

Actually, an extra copy.

only online
and its sold out now

The deal is in-store as well as online. I was surprised to hear it was online, actually, because before this thread I had assumed it was only in store.

Picked up copies of both games this morning. Didn't seem like too hot of a commodity, most people were hitting up the TVs, DVDs, and computer equipment, so it's likely that you'll be able to find it in store without having gotten up there early this morning.

I just hit up best buy in store and they had an entire shelf full of it. I'm thinking if you drop by before end of day you should be able to pick it up. I'm really only up Orange Box for Portal, don't really care for Half life 2, and I didn't play TF 2 when HL 1 was out so I'm not sure how much I'll like it. I'll see what I feel about it in a few weeks, I've got school ramping up right now...
