For those who are Founders' Club subscribers, FilePlanet (http://www.fileplanet.com) is giving out 1,000 beta keys (http://founders.gamespy.com/autoassault/) on a first-come first-served basis to NCSoft's vehicular MMO Auto Assault (http://www.autoassault.com).

For those who are not subscribers, you can still register for beta (https://secure.plaync.com/aa_beta.html) and hope for the best :D

I already applied a while ago. You'd think with my prior experience beta testing for them (CoH and Lineage 2), I'd be in. :\

I got in but haven't had time to download the client. Their times are limited and I'm usually working during those times. Hopefully they will open it some soon.

"Beta" is being extremely generous.

I started messing with the beta 2 or 3 weeks ago, and once I got passed the tutorial area, I couldn't understand how the hell to get out of the starting city.

I talked to an NPC, took a 'kill x of y' mission, and everytime I left the town, it would reset me back to the NPC, after just a few minutes of driving.

I played twice (they only run the servers 2 or 3 times a week) and haven't messed with it since.

"Alpha" would be more accurate at this point. My first impression, however, is that a driving MMO is so different from what people are accustomed to that I can't see it being very well accepted.

I've played a couple of times and I can't get used to it.

Well we're not supposed to talk about what's in the beta, but I can tell you that after getting the client, all the patches will amount to a few gigs of slow downloading. Look forward to days and days of downloading even if you're on cable.

You submiting bug reports on that stuff? As that seems quite odd from my experince.

Hell been in the beta for three weeks still can't even log on the nights its "suppose" to be up. Crappy Customer support Three weeks of getting “We will answer you email in 24 hours”.... Signs of things to come, betting this one will never even see retail

Big ol pass on this one.

I'd really like to try it out. I'm not going to pay for a beta though.

I'm surprised to hear all the bad CS claims. NCSoft has generally been one of the best MMO companies as far as customer service goes. Alas, oh well.

Could be true, and that these other asshats are somehow expecting a mostly playable game in a beta and turning up disappointed.

always question when someone violates the NDA and talks about a beta. that being said the BETA has been unstable with CTDs and whatnot ;)

If anyone doesn't want to beta test any more, drop me your account info, so I can do the deed. :)

Seriously though. I look forward to this game, I think it has a lot of potential and I really enjoyed it at E3.

Yeah, same here as what Garthilk said -- if any of you beta testers are sick of it, I'm totally willing to take over the account. Just hit me up with a name and PW.

No some of us asshats would just like to be able to log in so we can give it a fair shake. And its not expecting too much to ask that you can at least log in to a beta.

Yeah, same goes here as to what Garthilk and Kefk said: If you are tired of your account, you are more than welcome to hit me with the original screenname and password.. Wink wink ;)

You must have some kind of weird-ass system. They're leaving the servers running most of the time now. I've played every day since Wednesday, and I'm actually having trouble seeing signs of the beta. The game seems to be in very good shape for me, with my only having run into a couple of quest related bugs that go away when you quit and log back into the game.

I've logged in and out probably 30 times, and have never had a problem. The patching that someone referred to, went very quickly for me, although it did amount to several hundred megs of downloading.

Since the game is kind of "equipment oriented", it reminds me a lot of EVE Online. I like it.

Not my system guy..there are huge threads about it on the AA forums, the latest wave of testers are having huge issues getting in game.
