Codemasters shows off more images from its WWII flight action game Heroes of the Pacific. These latest screens show quite detailed plane models for an action game and some rather impressive WWII poster-art in the game's menus. You can see the sixteen new screenshots over at Boomtown (http://pc.boomtown.net/en_uk/articles/art.view.php?id=8817).

This looks impressive. I like action titles which don't take themselves to seriously :D I wonder what the Xbox version will look like. I assume those are PC shots.

Codemasters didn't say what format they are, but clearly they're not from the PS2. :)
I think we can assume they are PC, but hopefully the Xbox version won't be too far behind. I think it's one of those games that's starting to interest me more as each set of shots is released.

/misses old Microprose games

Wasn't this used as one of the demos in 3DMark 03?

How can you leave Lucasarts' Battle of Britain off a list like that? For shame!

I played this at E3. Controls SUCKED. I found a better game in the genre there - Blazing Angels (http://games.teamxbox.com/xbox/1156/Blazing-Angels-Squadrons-of-WWII) for Xbox was freakin' phenomenal.

Mmmm Zanzibar that Blazing Angels looks good also. It's nice to know someone has compared the two titles :)
