Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes lets players assume the role of a general in a fantasy battlefield. Players must fight alongside their troops and use catapults, dragons or any means necessary to annihilate their enemies.
Set five years before the The Crusaders, Kingdom Under Fire: Heroes will let gamers take seven unique new Heroes through 50 campaign missions that will deliver 30-50 hours of ruthless medieval warfare. Each of the seven heroes has new skills, abilities and a unique link to the original story. New units and environments will add more variety and depth to the epic-scale battles. In addition, new custom missions will let players set up their own adventures by selecting their opponents’ level, type and skill.

Two improvements and I am in.
A) Better english voice-overs.
B) To be able to pause the game when in minimap mode to set waypoints.
According to this video, it *seems* they have fixed my first gripe. The game looks just like the first (except a tad-bit better graphics) which can't be bad. I wonder what Gamerankings will say about this.

The first KUF game was a blast, especially at the price!

If they make as many improvements to the THIRD one as they did to the SECOND one, it will be a winner. Easy to forget that the first KUF game was on pc, not x-box.
The first one pretty much sucked, fyi.

Excuse me back-to-front!
You are, of course, correct! I bow before your vast knowledge. Bonus points if you can name the all-time top goal scorer for Rangers FC.

But...they were different genres of games, so they really cant be compared to each other ..other than the name and developer.

Thoroughly enjoying KUF for Xbox. Been playing it the last few weeks. Only have a few more missions to complete for Ecclesia. I think their guys are the weakest so far.

KUF is an excellent game. I'm looking forward to the next installment. I just wish the community was larger, because multiplay could be so fantastic. I love the fact that you gain experience points online to build up your armies to be bigger and bigger. They just need bigger maps, more players at once, and possibly structures/bases...but that's stretching it.

At least it looks like now they've added a skirmish/custom mission mode. I had thought it a shame that there wasn't an option since the online crowd wasn't very big. I'll almost certainly be picking this up on release.

Actually, they weren't different genres at all. I've played both. The x-box game is just an enhancement/evolution/etc. of the gameplay in the original. They just allow you to play the hero, meanwhile, all of the same old RTS stuff is going on around you.

I wouldn't say so, 51|Random.
Whereas I'd compare KUF to a Warcraft clone, KUF: The Crusaders takes a Myth/Total War approach with bits of Ogre Battles.
