View Full Version : Nanostray 2 Video
11-09-2007, 08:00 AM
The great folks over at Shin'en Multimedia just sent me a link to a new video of Nanostray 2 (http://www.nanostray2.com/about/screens/), their upcoming vertical/horizontal shooter for the Nintendo DS. Multiplayer, online rankings, and buttery-smooth framerates all return for the sequel, along with new puzzle-like modes.
My scores are still listed on the Online Leaderboard from the first game. :)

edit. this one worked.
Wow that looks really good. It has a bunch of mini games and geometry wars clones along with the main game. Dare I say a must-by?

No! No more must buys! What the hell is wrong with all these game developers? Don't they know we have bills to pay?

There was a very Metroid looking creature in that trailer. The game looks great though. Reminded me a little of Einhander for a second there. Now there's a game that needs a sequel!

Fixed the link. Thanks!

I don't know about the mini-games but everything else looked great. Is EvAv gonna have another giveaway for this game?

I never picked this one up for my DS, despite hearing lots of positive things about in here on EvAv. Is the original worth picking up used, or should I just wait for this new one?
For reference, I loved Ikaruga (had it for GameCube) but never did manage to beat it.

Very exciting! Do folks know if the control scheme will be a standard d-pad and buttons affair?
EDIT: nevermind, I looked at the gamesite:
Three Control Schemes
1: Classic Control (doesn't force any touch screen usage)
2: Left Handed Touch Control (using the stylus and buttons)
3: Right Handed Touch Control (using the stylus and buttons)

That, and Espgaluda. But Espgaluda DID get a sequel... in arcades... in Japan.

Hmm... what's with your ship looking extremely dull and comicy, along with various scenery, while in others everything looks spiffy clean and pretty?

Damnit. So many games I have to get.
Bioshock (PC or 360, haven't picked up a 360 yet because I want one that won't die on me after a couple months)
Super Mario Galaxy
Mega Man ZX Advent
and now this.
