German web site xbox-archiv.de (http://www.xbox-archiv.de/?p=9062) give this rumor. Lost Planet Colonies only available for the Xbox 360 in the database (http://www.xbox-archiv.de/Pics/lostplanetcolonies.jpg). This is real? German to translate english.
In mid-2007, there were rumors that Capcom on a successor to Lost Planet is the name Lost Planet Colonies bear. A recent audit of 07 November 2007 of the USK show that such a game really exists and is already an age rating over 16 years. Whether it is just a bundle with all the content in new packaging, or a completely new game is not known.
An official announcement from Capcom has up to now not yet. Also missing is a date when this for the Xbox 360 to appear. The game immerses currently only available for the Xbox 360 in the database

This news post needs fixing......
Anyway, why does the title sound like a portable spin off (which it can't be, but still)? If not, it sounds almost like an RTS. Hooray for baseless speculation!

So...continue the crap that was Lost Planet and no word still on a Dead Rising sequel? Get your priorities straight Capcom.

Fix the character fallin for an half an hour when he get's hit. Lose the temp meter. Add variety.
The rest was pretty OK in my book.
Oh, and hire a decent script writer for godsake

I bought it off steam, and I’ve sat down and tried to play it 3 times… all 3 times getting so frustrated with the controls after playing with it for over an hour… I may just gamefly the 360 version but it really is a bad game… not just controls wise but overall enjoyment

I hope this turns out to be true, as I loved Lost Planet.

let's get this translated into some more english....
"Already by mid-2007 there were rumors that Capcom is working on a successor for Lost Planet, called Lost Planet Colonies. According to a report the USK <this is the agency responsible for the rating of games in Germany> has ranked this game on November, 7th 2007 as 'Teen 16'. It is not clear if this is just a bundle with some more content and/or packaging, or a completly new game.
There had not been an official announcement by Capcom, a release date has not been announced. The database <they probably refer to the USK database here> is the only source for this information."
hope this helps

I just picked up Lost Planet, and I think it is a blast.
To each his own, I suppose!

Wait for the cheap hits to hit you.
Cool game, but annoys me big time once in a while.

Loved the graphical direction it had (minus the menues , jap developers still tend to overuse colors and alot of them in menues . Along with the 2-3 scripts on every screen)
I didn´t care for it much in singel player, but multiplayer was fun and it felt "console".
