Having trouble finding a new Gamerpic for your Xbox Live Profile? Then you'll want to hit up the recently launched Gamerpic Scout (http://www.mygamercard.net/gpscout.php) on MyGamerCard.net (http://www.mygamercard.net).

What does this application do? Basically it creates a search able database of all of the gamerpics available and helps you find what you are looking for. Want a gamerpic of a penguin? Simply search for "penguin".

You can also help contribute to the cause by tagging pictures that need descriptions, a great way to help pass some time.

I swear, tagging those pictures is incredibly addictive. I must have wasted 20 minutes doing just that.

Because they should all be free! I say if you buy a game you should unlock any background or gamer tag for that game.

I agree 100%. I've never bought one and probably never will. You do get some free ones with a few XBLA titles.

They should just let you use any pic you want.

To some extent, you can show anything you want to your friends ... just use your vision cam to capture your naughty goodness.

So when do we get the Evil Avatar related gamerpics?

You do get some gamerpics for each game you play. I've found pics from games I only put in my 360 once. I wish I hadn't missed out on the 'Mister Chief' pic.

There are a few games out there with unlockable gamerpics. Gears of War and Band of Bugs are the only two I can think of at the moment.

Many arcade games give you gamerpics simply by playing them. Aegis Wing, Doom & yaris spring to mind.

I've been saying this forever but they need to make gamerpics and themes unlockable with achievements. They can still keep some to sell on the marketplace but there should be a theme and a few pics on disc. Perhaps a reward at 500 points, 750, and 1000.

There are gamerpics that are unlocked based on achievements. For example, beat Gears of War on Insane and you'll get a new pic of Marcus.

I never noticed. That's cool, hopefully more will do this and also give you notification.
