Another tasty Treasure shooter, Alien Soldier, saves an otherwise mediocre (at best) line up this week:
Alien Soldier (http://www.vc-reviews.com/review/593/alien-soldier.php) (Mega Drive) - 800 points
Sonic 3D: Flickies Island (http://www.vc-reviews.com/review/591/sonic-3d-blast.php) (/Blast) (Mega Drive) - 800 points
Samurai Ghost (http://www.vc-reviews.com/review/567/samurai-ghost.php) (TurboGrafx 16) - 600 points
Art of Fighting (http://www.vc-reviews.com/review/583/art-of-fighting.php) (Neo Geo) - 900 points
You know what they say about sonic and 3D...

As a weird aside, the price of TMNT (NES) has been bumped from 500points to 600 in Europe and Australia. I hear it's always been 600 in the US.
Gouging for sub par games? weird! When it's a gem like Lost Levels at least it makes sense.

Yay Treasure! First Sin & Punishment, then Bleach, now Alien Shooter. Something must be very wrong with the universe.

I'm in a small minority in believing this, but Art of Fighting is a fantastic game. And Sonic 3D Blast/Flickies Island may not be a great Sonic game, but it's a pretty okay game.

Alien Soldier is awesome, but hard as hell.

Just an FYI, some people are having problems with Neo-Geo VC games.

Fortunetely, it seems to have a solution:
Here's the fix: * Boot up your NeoGeo VC game of choice * When it loads with the squished screen, hit the Home button on your Wiimote * Head into the Operations Guide * Once inside, plug your nunchuk controller into your Wiimote, then simultaneously press A+Z+1 * You should hear a sound, signaling that the Wii has been set to Interlace mode * Enjoy.

^Nice tip. But I wish they fixed the VC games' formatting. The games all appear stretched into widescreen.

Any chance we can get the old Euro releases back for the Christmas period? Games release later here and I'd just like to know around this busy time for gamers :P

Well, they certainly are choosing the lesser of the Neo Geo classics. These were the early titles, before the greatest that would be born. Wait for the KoF series, in particular 97 and 98.

Yeah, I know it's not a popular opinion, but much like 'Spinball', I think 3D Blast is a pretty good game for how much flak it gets. I had a lot of fun with it. ;)
