"Day by Day Armageddon is a dramatic spin on the zombie story. It had depth, a heart, and compelling characters."

self-promotion without shame.

You can only call it self-promotion if EA somehow participated in the book, which it/he did not... You can still call it shameless, though. :)

Hmm...a book publisher posting a news piece about a book they are publishing...colour me unimpressed.

Yea, this was a VERY interesting read, I was hooked on the "blog" nature of this story when it was being freely published.

However, and this is not because they went commercial with it, but coincidental to it: Right around the time he went commercial with the story, the story really started to lack the quality that it had in the beginning. Really, I felt it should have ended around the time of them finding the Army bunker. After that, the writing started to retread common themes, and the writer seemed to run out of fresh ideas. Still, all the events leading up to that were pretty gripping.

Personally, I'd call it marketing to the correct demographic (see: smart business).

Helped usher in the modern zombie craze? That's just a tad pretentious, considering no one I know away from this site has heard of it...

Another thing, lone man. Isn't that a bit cliche.

I don't care what you call it, I love zombies and I found a ton of great zombie novels because of this site.

Cool shit.

You're not really supposed to end a sentence with a preposition.

"Excuse me, where is the library at?"
"Here at Hahvahd, we never end a sentence with a preposition."
"O.K. Excuse me, where is the library at, *asshole*?"

It is certainly a fantastic book, but it should only wet your appetite for more flesh eating goodness.

I've been looking forward to this coming out again. It was selling for a ton on ebay. I've heard really good things, so I ordered from amazon.

Do not get me wrong, I loved World War Z, and I hope they really do get a movie off the ground.

However... and I've said this before after I finished the book, it felt to me like the author had run out of gas on the last quarter or so of the book, and just wanted to finish writing it... it had such a crazy-good beginning and middle and then the end just kind of... happened... and it was done, thankyouandgoodnight.
