Just look at those graphics! This is gonna be the most amazing game ever! Wohoo!
Anyone else completely unimpressed by concept art of any sort?
Maybe the "artsy" bunch in the crowd could concieveably some sort of interest, but most of the time it feels like a poor substitute for a screenshot.
Any comments?

I don't mind concept art in general, but I hate it when people use the same art to justify how good looking a game is going to be. Using that same reasoning, any game based on the Mona Lisa or the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel would look awesome.

I'm not "impressed" by it, no. But it is helpful to get you a feeling for the style and atmosphere that a team is going for in an upcoming game. I also think it can be interesting to see the progression from concept to the finished product and see how closely they stayed to the original imagining.

The only real concept artists/pieces that I enjoy are the ones from Blizzard...but thats me.

I like to see concept art because you can get a feel for the experience that the creators are imagining. It's interesting to see the Dev's ideas in their early stages.

It's good to see the evolution of the art. To be honest, I think art quality is becoming less and less important to publishers. That said, seeing the preliminaries gives me a glance into the concepts and themes the designer is trying to use.

I really like the Killzone concept art and the techno-fascist look of the Hellghast. I’d much rather play as them than whoever they have you playing as in the game (played about 12 hours of it and still had no idea what the name of my character’s government was) they just have a lot more personality and look far more badass. They also have a better reason for fighting; as I understand it they’re coming back to conquer the people who exiled them to a poisoned hell hole.

I'm a huge fan of concept art, so this is quite cool.
Was KZ ever announced for the PSP? One of the concept images is labeled "Killzone PSP Concept" (the grey trooper image)

We already saw concept art on this game! That E3 trailer was full of it, remember? "This is our *concept* for what a game that someone might make, at some unspecified point in the future, might conceivably look like. Except that it's real. Right now. No, you can't play it!"
That's how *I* remember the press conference, anyway.

I love concept art too. Gives you a impression of what they are aiming for.I saw a german cross on that BIG walker(ww2 era cross). It's the last pic i think.
I've never played the first game so i'm just gonna check the story out now :D
