Link, a young man raised as a wrangler in a small, rural village, is ordered by the mayor to attend the Hyrule Summit. He sets off, oblivious to the dark fate that has descended upon the kingdom. When he enters the Twilight Realm that has covered Hyrule, he transforms into a wolf and is captured. A mysterious figure named Midna helps him break free, and with the aid of her magic, they set off to free the land from the shadows.

Ah, the one thing to look forward to past the start of a new school year.

I'm as excited as anyone else about this game, but all these "new pics" are of the same areas we've seen for the past year. Scenes from the E3 demo. Show us more than that!!!

Maybe I'm weird but I personally liked the cartoony look more.
This is Zelda though and still a must-buy for me.

Looks like Zelda has a hot coffee (http://www.worthplaying.com/press/184/Zelda_TwilightPrincess_049.jpg) mini-game of its own.
Kidding, of course. Though a pregnant woman in a Zelda game is a first.
Those screens look great. No release date yet?

Notice that Midna is an anagram of admin. Perhaps Zelda is lost in some sort of digital realm, and Midna is the key for Link to enter this "Matrix" and save the princess.

Zelda is the one thing that makes me wish I had a Game Cube.

Same old demo screens.
I personally am losing interest in this title. It is just Ocarina of Time with better graphics. I have played the demo at E3, I have played the demo at Comicon last week. I have seen the movies and read the details. And I have one word... Boooorrrrringggg.
Link is doing the same old jump attack animation he has been doing since the N64 days. There are still no voices. The gameplay flow still is broken up by way too many explanation screens.
Let me ask you this, was it just me or was anyone else annoyed by the tendency in past Zelda games to tell you what every item is every time you get it. I probably got 2000 skull necklaces in Wind Waker but it still explained what it was for and told me to "equip it with A" each time I picked one up. "Ok buddy! I think I got it!"
This game is played, literally.

Actually this adds in and expands on the special attacks available by button presses at the right time that were in Wind Waker. And I think voices would invaraibly probably not be great.
I agree with you about the explanation screens, though. We could make do with plenty less of those.

Oh Link, what's Zelda gonna say when she finds out about this?

That he's into preggos? Better hope she's in the proper tri-mester otherwise our hero is gonna find himself in a pickle. Zelda just isn't filling that certain niche anymore. Sad.

Same here. I'll play through it, but I don't think it deserves the "OMG BEST GAME EVER" fawning that it is receiving from many. The graphics look to be 2-3 years dated as well - especially after RE4 earlier this year. Shouldn't Nintendo be making the best graphics for their own system?
That horseback chase from the demo just looks boring as well. What's with the flat, empty landscape? I remember back in E3 watching one of the hosts from G4 playing it and desperately trying to appear interested. It was pretty funny.

I've lost quite a bit of interest in this game as well... I was hoping for a Zelda game with heavy action elements on the overworld, combined with the classic Zelda dungeon crawling. Instead, I have some gimmicky game about turning into a wolf.
Whatever.

I'm afraid of that as well, but to be fair, they have said there's more dungeons in the game than were in Ocarina, which had plenty. That, assuming it's true, excites me.

The animation looks very nice. Cloth physics looks especially good so far. And the art direction is exceptional.

Some of the art gives me the impression there will be some sort of technological subtext to the game.

How could you honestly discount a game feature as "gimmicky" when its hardly even been shown?
Its too early to pass judgement.

We've probably only seen about 2% of the game. Maybe some of you guys should wait and actually play it before calling it boring. Plus, hasn't a popular series like GTA had three games come out in the past four years with each one having the same controls. But, that's not boring? Shit, only the ocarina and wind waker have used similar control schemes. Maybe my attention span isn't as short as I thought it was.
