This year is going to be a good year for my PC, The Movies, Civilzation IV... maybe Black & White 2?

I'd like to hope this turns out to be a great game.
But it's just waaaaay too amibitious to sustain that hope.

Looked great at E3, but they didn't show much. Same 3-4 movies over and over, but they were pretty awesome.

I hope they are planning on putting in an option to automate the creation of the movies. While it might be interesting to micromanage the creation of a few of them I think it could get very tedious to have to set the camer angles and stuff for every one of them.

I used to get really excited about big idea titles such as this, ones that seemed almost too ambitious. I think I've been burned enough times now to know better.

It does seem overly ambitious. But then again, so did SimCity when it came out... then SimCity 2000 did.. then SimCity 3D (and it died and became SimCity 3000). Now let's see... Spore? I believe in it due to past track records.

But The Movies is being developed by someone who doesn't quite have Maxis' reputation. My call is that it will either be completely awesome or completely suck.
