Loadedinc has posted comments (http://www.loadedinc.com/news.php?id=4637) from a Blizzard Europe Representative, who denies the recent news (http://www.evilavatar.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3717&highlight=duping) that there is a duplication bug in Blizzards online RPG, World of Warcraft.

We appreciate and share players' concerns about a possible dupe exploit, and we're continuing to investigate the matter thoroughly.

However, at this time, we do not show any legitimate evidence of duping currently taking place or having taken place for as far back as we've checked.

Interesting... I wonder if this is Blizzards position or just blizzard Europe? Still this is good news as it seems that either it doesn't exist or its still so small that it hasn't gotten their attention.

It was a purely serverside glitch, so they've probably fixed it already. No point in admitting a bug exists when nobody can prove it any more!

I think it's... Deceit!

I know guys who saw people doing it though. They had shit-tons more gold than they should have.

I wouldn't exactly consider this proof...

Looks like the only ones being duped here...are the players.

(Did you see what I did there?)

Bliz didn't come out and say it doesn't exist, they just said they can't find any legitimate evidence and that they're still actively searching.

Which could mean they've increased the log verbosity on one or more servers and are just waiting for the data before they pounce! mehehehe.

More likely they're just working to see if they can reproduce the bug and confirm it exists.

Well Blizzard does have the tenedency to wait a while before punshing exploiters.

Man I hope there really isn't any duping going on. The economy on my server is odd enough without adding that type of thing.

If WoW goes the way of Diablo II I'll never buy another online RPG from blizzard again. That economy got right-fscked within DAYS of dupe exploits coming out.

With WoW most stuff is server-side and extremely hard to manipulate in comparison to the way Diablo 2 works (from what I understand anyways). It would be stupid to make an MMORPG as easily fuck-withable as Diablo 2 was, and I think if WoW were that way, we already would've seen it fall apart under the weight of Battle.net babies.
