Call of Duty 4 Weapon List Leaked

Apparently the PC demo of CoD4 contained a little more than meets the eye. The CoD4 forums (http://www.cod4forums.com/index.php?showtopic=512) reports that a complete list of weapons, for single- and multi-player were included in the demo code.

The weapons list clocks in at 40+ multiplayer weapons and close to 100 single player weapons.

I'm glad it's a big list, but until I have it in my hands in game and I am able shoot people with it to see if I like it this doesn't mean much to me. Also, stop mentioning the game damn it, it makes the pain worse!

I'm sure some will simply be a cosmetic difference. Just from the Beta though, the weapons all had their little perks and you would find people disagreeing on which was best. Like the M16 and M4 carbine. Some people like the full auto of the M4. While I prefer the 3 round burst of the M16.

I have faith that they will give us something worth playing.

I guess you don't...just like Rainbow Six series, they offer tons of weapon but you can see 80% of the regular players are using the most popular weapon only.

And that is a crapload of weapons. I have extremely high hopes for this title. The Beta left me eagerly wanting the full game.

How many of those are actual usable weapons though?
They might make an appearance in the game, but do we know which ones you can actually use?
I assume all the multiplayer ones will be usable, but not so sure about the single player ones.

Either way, I don't care. The number of weapons has nothing to do with how good the game will be, for me.

Like some one said, every one will just end up using the most popular/powerful ones anyway... especially since so many are alike.

That's an asset list -- just because it's there doesn't mean it will be usable by the player.

I'm wondering how the AC-130 will be in multiplayer since they announced no vehicals and the 7 kill streak perk is the Helicopert support. Is there going to be another kill streak perk on top of the helo that will rain down flying howitzer death from a Spooky gunship or is the 5 kill bombardment perk going to be switched out from time to time with death from the big gun?

Well, the BETA was one of the best online shooters I have ever played. So, well, I guess they could somehow fuck that up. However, I refuse to believe that they would be that profoundly stupid.

Have to agree with you here. In fact as much as I liked H3's Multiplayer, and enjoyed TF2's game style more. I think CoD4 is the one title I'm really looking forward to playing with EvAv folks with.

I personally am really excited to use the 'default vehicle weapon' and the 'hunted crash missile'.

I'm glad there are a lot of weapons in the game, because it makes sense for there to be a lot in this game. Now that COD is in modern times, the fighters on both sides have access to so many different weapons and weapon systems. In WW2, it would be very unlikely to find anything other than the few standard issue weapons from either side.

The other great thing about COD is that you can actually pick up the guns and use them. One of the things that always pissed me off in games like Raven Shield was that you couldn't grab a gun off a corpse, even if you had no ammo left.

Wow. Can you duel-wield in this game? If so, this just might be the next Goldeneye. Hell, even if you can't dual-wield it still might!

I loved Goldeneye. But this game is far more than the next Goldeneye... it's more like Battlefield: Rainbow Golden-Strike of Honor.

Oh, and no, so far I have not seen dual wielding. I think their military advisor Hank Keirsey would have slit some throats if they had allowed something as "Hollywood" as dual-wielding in the game.
