CharlieOscarDelta, the community website for Call of Duty 4 has released PC minimum and recommended specs for the demo. As the demo is a level from the single player campaign, the specs can be implicitly applied to full retail. Here's (http://www.charlieoscardelta.com/sitrep.php?uid=2&b_id=MTE3Nw==&req=view) the link to the full post. We've also included a rundown of the PC minimum requirements and recommended specs below. Enjoy the demo, and let us know what you think on the forums!

Awesome, just scrape in on the recommended, though I assume that means that I'll have to run the game on 'medium' settings. That just wont do :(

Devs are really doing a shitty job supporting core duo.

All I need.

God, my video card sucks. Eh. I'm pretty much ok only playing console games (hell, the 360 gets most of the good PC games anyway), but I know I'll be crying when my dumb computer won't run Starcraft 2.

2.4 Ghz Dual Core?
What is that equivalent to? A 6300?

mmm... I guess tomorrow we will check the demo and find out.
BTW, it looks pretty optimized.

OMG.. this is like having sex with Cody Lane, Jesse Jane, Carmen Luvana, Nina Mercedez & Stormy Daniels one after another..so much games..
I feel at ease because of my PC but I need a bigger primary HD because the 36.4GB WD Raptor is already full with Bioshock, Wolrd in Conflict & Quake Wars...

I can't imagine trying to run anything on Vista with less than 1GB of RAM, much less something this resource-intensive.

8 gigs is tame?
Well Stalker was way more than that. And also the fact is HDD space is so cheap nowadays, it's like what, 50 cents a gigabyte?

8 gigs is tame?
For a PC game these days, that's quite small.

It was a pretty big flop as a processor, though.

But as far as the game, I am not sure if CoD 4 can compete with what is out there. I do not think that Quake Wars can compete with TF2, and that has been a highly anticipated game. There are a lot of shooters coming out in the next few months with a high focus on online and high level online play, not many of them will live to see the spring.

For a whole game, maybe. A demo, though? That's nuts.
But that's making an assumption based on the info we have at the top... it could be read a couple different ways, and maybe 8 gigs IS the full install of the game, too hard to tell the way it's given here.
In either case, I'm not overly worried about it, I've got plenty of space. Just a little taken aback if it's really 8 gigs for a 1-level demo.

Oops, I forgot that post was about the demo. I just read it as being for the full game. If it really is 8 gigs just for the demo, then someone needs to be shot. That's just crazy. I already feel sorry for anyone who has a monthly download cap on their internet connection.

Not trying to brag, but my PC kicks the shit out of those recommended specs, and I'm still getting this on 360.
The fact that I have a fairly high end PC at all should tell you I'm no fanboy either.

I gotta say, I still love Call of Duty 2 PC online. I'll give the game ago, although I do need a new comp to fully run it. but 1.5 gigs of ram ati 850xt and a 2800+ should let me run it!
