PopCap, the insanely successful casual games publisher responsible for Bejewled, is coming to your local game store this November. From GameDaily (http://biz.gamedaily.com/industry/news/?id=17710).PopCap Games plans to deliver its greatest hits via two compilation discs. PopCap Arcade Volume 1 for Xbox 360 brings Bejeweled 2, AstroPop, Feeding Frenzy and Zuma to the masses for only $29.95. PopCap Hits Volume 1 for PlayStation 2 brings Bejeweled 2 and AstroPop to Sony's well-established console for only $19.95. Both compilations are due to arrive at retail on November 15, 2007.The four PopCap games in the 360 compilation are already available over Xbox Live, so this is obviously aimed at 360 owners that don't go online with their consoles, but still want casual games.

I wonder if the Xbox Live prices will drop then, that's $40 worth of downloads there for $30 on a retail disc.

For the love of God why were they not released for the DS? Why have you forsaken us Popcap?!?

Seriously though most of those games would work great on the DS. I wonder why they decided not to go that direction. Was cartridge size too limiting?

kwasul: Well...

There's Zoo Keeper on the DS (Bejeweled), but not with all the extra modes the Live game has, naturally.

And then there's, what's it called, Magnetica? That's a Nintendo-developed game that's eerily similar to Zuma. Dunno about anything that might resemble Astropop or Feeding Frenzy, however (the latter sucks anyway).

I thought their was a disk with some XBLA games on it a while back.
I remeber because I was aware of it and was pissed when I couldn't find it for rent
online or off.

Who cares about anything but Peggle though?

Edit: I am not at home, what are the packages going for on Steam and their web site? I would bet that you could get a better deal on them then the PS2.

Couldn't they include Zuma on the PS2 compilation? Not that I am complaining, but Zuma!

That game is like digital crack. Speak of it no more, lest I fall into temptation.

Umm, last I checked, these guys already were *at* retail. I see $10 CDs with Bejeweled (or 2), Zuma, and some of their other games on store shelves all the time.

FATE will never happen because Alex St. John HATES MICROSOFT more than anyone on the planet.

Dude, Zoo Keeper is still like... the BEST DS GAME!

I know...I know. But there has NEVER been a game better suited for Live. With some control changes, this freaking addictive game would ROCK!

I have Zoo Keeper actually. It is very fun in short bursts.
Nitpick: Magnetica was actually out before Zuma, I don't remember the exact name of the game, but I used to play it in the arcade all the time. The same company that made that game repackaged it and released it as Magnetica for the DS.

I got a Peggle Extreme demo with the TF2 Beta. The sale price for Peggle listed at the end of the demo is $9.95! I'm tempted, but I don't want a game like that tied to Steam; I'd rather have a disk.

EXTREME FEVER! :D

The OP is in regard to retail Xbox 360 games, not PC.
