Yes the game with those annoying "platformers are weak" ads got it's own "weak" review (http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3142124&did=1) this week from 1up.com (http://www.1up.com).

Not every game is perfectly suited for two screens and a touch interface! It's OK to make games for DS simply because it's comfortable, familiar hardware with modest 3D capabilities! A good shooter is all about getting zoned out and dodging enemy fire in a trance-like state. Nanostray is no different, but oops...if you want to swap weapons, you have to move both your eyes and your trigger finger to the bottom screen, where you toggle between guns by tapping the proper icon.
Attention software development community: I will buy a DS the second an actual RTS is released. Hell I'd take Moonbase Commander at this point.

edit: I didn't mean Moonbase Commander but another RTS set on the moon that I can no longer remember the name of. Please substitute it with Dominion: Storm Over Gift 3

EA is making a C&C game for the DS and PSP. Rumor has it, that is. And very good sources too. Anyway I was hoping for some good SHMUPS to come out on the handhelds. Oh, but that's right, this is 2005 and Sony regulates what's cool to play.

No, rumor has it that EA is making a C&C on the PSP, not the DS. Why? I haven't a clue...

I'd just like to second the reviewer's comment, as it is something I have always said about the DS. Just because it has a touch screen, doesn't mean you have to force it into EVERY SINGLE GAME in any akward way you can find.

Ugh, exactly. I'm sure some management type had to ask the question "why aren't we going to advertise our game using the touch screen?" and forced in akwardness like this. Developers just need to stop it. If you're going to add the weapon change on the touch screen, make it optional!

Take Moonbase commander "at this point"? Are you suggesting it is somehow second string? They need to put MBC on every damn system ever.

Graphically, the action looks great -- those who think the DS is incapable of quality 3D need to enjoy a tall glass of Nanostray and shut up.

And Moonbase Commander would completely ROCK!

Shogun Warriors is coming out soon. It's an RTS. And cross your fingers for Starcraft. The New Advanced Wars game will support an RTS option where the gamepley is not turnbased but realtime. I am not sure how it will work but it could be fun.

They gave this a 6.5 partly because of interface problems? How did they give Goldeneye DS a 6.5? That game has one of the most poorly designed interfaces I've ever seen.

So this just disproves a C&C on DS? All this is, is to get them to make a C&C on the DS. If you look at the first 150, I signed it....like last year. This was before any rumors.

Since then it has been discussed that a C&C game is in the works for both handhelds. C'mon man.
